Volunteers NEEDED for the AHEA Convention in Red Deer!

Here are some volunteer opportunities for the AHEA Convention on April 12 and 13th in Red Deer – a way to give back to the home school community in Alberta!

New Home Education Booth Volunteers
* Needs veteran (5 years +) Traditional Home Educators who will encourage and give specifics to parents wondering about home educating their children (handouts and information are at the table)
* Can be couples or individuals
* 2 hour shifts on Friday or Saturday

Special Needs Booth Volunteers
* Should have experience in home schooling special needs
* 2 hour shifts on Friday or Saturday

Security Volunteers
* Help out as needed during the Convention – shifts
* Great for dads

Volunteer/s to help mann Voddie Baucham’s booth on Saturday

Exhibit Hall Set Up
* 2 or more volunteers needed
* Thursday – 3:30 to 9 p.m.
* Friday – 7:45 to 9 a.m.

Volunteer to host the Speaker (Voddie Baucham) on Friday
* Pick up Voddie Baucham (and assistant) at hotel
* Making sure they get lunch
* Making sure they have what they need at breaks
* Going for supper
* Taking them back to the hotel

Room Monitor Volunteers
* Pick a session you want to hear – volunteer to introduce the speaker
* Count number of attendee’s
* Pass out hand outs
* Give speaker a heads up when there is 5 minutes left in the session
