Bachmann Concludes Another Day of Meeting with Local Business Owners and Constituents

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann today continued her tour of the 6th Congressional district visiting businesses and meeting with constituents in St. Michael, Cokato, Delano, Maple Lake and Otsego.

Congresswoman Bachmann was eager to hear from elected members of the community and local business owners. During her visit to Cokato, Congresswoman Bachmann toured Saunatec, one of the largest private sauna producing companies in the nation. Speaking with the President of Saunatec, Congresswoman Bachmann heard about concerns of rising health care insurance prices because of recently passed health care legislation, more commonly known as Obamacare.

In Delano, Congresswoman Bachmann toured Sil-Pro, which employs over 100 employees. Various Sil-Pro supervisors expressed their concerns to Congresswoman Bachmann on the increasing number of unnecessary regulations and rising costs of production.

The bus tour continued to Denny’s in Maple Lake where Congresswoman Bachmann met with constituents and addressed a crowd of over 50 individuals. Other elected officials that joined Congresswoman Bachmann included Mayor Joe McDonald of Delano who is currently running for HD19B, State Representative Mary Kiffmeyer, State Representative Jim Abeler and SD16 candidate Dave Brown as well as other candidates who are currently running for office. One of the individuals attending the event in Maple Lake was World War II veteran Marshall Harris who stated: “Michele is the kind of person we need in government who will fight for us.”

The tour concluded at the Republican Party of Minnesota’s office in Monticello, where over 50 volunteers were working the phone lines, distributing literature and delivering signs to constituents.
