“Voices for Paul” How-To

2. Record the video, but please make sure you follow a few guidelines during this process:

A. Please make sure you are near the camera, we want to make sure you are HEARD!

B. Begin the video by saying, “This is (YOUR NAME), from (YOUR CITY/TOWN), Maine.”

C. Next, let us know what your occupation is! Please say, “I am a/an (YOUR OCCUPATION) and I support Paul LePage.”

D. Please make sure the video is 1 minute or less!

3. Next transfer the file from your camera to your computer. Different cameras will use different accessories. Many cameras will use memory cards, and some will allow transfer using a USB cable (pictured above).

4. Create a YouTube account! This may seem like a daunting task, but don’t worry, it only takes a couple minutes!

To sign up for an account, follow this link: http://www.youtube.com/create_account?next=%2Findex

5. Upload the video! Make sure you are logged into YouTube, and on the homepage, it should look something like this. (Notice the “Upload link at the top of the page”)

Now you must upload your video, simply click on the yellow “upload” button, and find the video file on your computer!

Please be patient, it may take a while for your video to upload! After the video is uploaded, give it a name and description. Once the video is processed, you will be able to watch your creation!

In order to send us the video, you need to copy this URL from the video! It’s very simple, begin watching your video on YouTube, then go to the top of the screen and copy the video URL (it will look similar to the photo below). You will need to use this link later!

Now is the time to submit the video so we can watch it! It’s very easy, the first step is to visit this page by clicking the link below:

When the submission form asks for a “YouTube URL”, paste the link to your video that you copied earlier!
