$1.3 Trillion And Rising...

President Obama and Senator Blanche Lincoln have spent the
U.S. to another jaw-dropping deficit.  

The numbers released today by the Obama Administration show
the federal deficit at $1.3 trillion for the budget year.

This astronomical number is just shy of last year’s $1.4
trillion deficit, the highest on record, and next year it’s expected to be even
worse.

Is this is what President Obama and Senator Lincoln consider
“cutting spending” to be?

If a CEO ran a business this way, he’d be fired
immediately.  Yet, President Obama, and
Senator Blanche Lincoln give us record-setting deficits year after year and
still expect to keep their jobs?

In the last two years, President
Obama passed more than $800 billion in stimulus spending designed to create
jobs as well as a 1.3 trillion health-care reform bill designed to reduce
health-care costs. The nation’s unemployment rate is currently 9.6 percent, and
September set a record as the 14^th consecutive month that
unemployment exceeded 9.5 percent. 
Healthcare costs are also expected to increase by more than 10% next
year.          

These record-setting deficits pose
a threat to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, our children’s future, and
America’s national security, and I can’t figure out why Blanche Lincoln thinks
they’re acceptable.  We need to
jump-start our economy, provide tax relief, and create sustainable private
sector jobs, not burden our children with mountains of debt.                          

America’s current economic
recovery and future prosperity requires fiscal responsibility and a balanced
budget.  These deficits are not
sustainable.  Let’s restore fiscal
responsibility back to Washington by balancing the budget, cutting taxes and
spending, so we can invest in Arkansas and America’s future.
