Music Legend Pat Boone sings praises of Ed Martin

(ST. LOUIS, MO.) October 22, 2010 – The 60 Plus Association just announced it has awarded Ed Martin its Honorary Guardian of Seniors’ Rights award. The association says it presents the award to Democrats and Republicans based on their “views on seniors’ issues.”

Music Legend Pat Boone, spokesman for the national non-partisan senior citizen group, touted Ed Martin’s dedication to seniors. “Ed Martin can always be counted on to protect Social Security and Medicare,” Boone said. “Ed Martin will be a tax cutter, protecting the pocket books of senior citizens. 60 Plus calls on nearly 5.5 million seniors nationally for support, so I believe I can speak on behalf of seniors when I say that they can count on Ed Martin. Clearly, seniors will have no finer friend in Congress than Ed Martin.”

“I have visited with senior citizens across this district. My wife, a geriatrics doctor who works in a Medicare/Medicaid clinic in South St. Louis City, also serves as sort of an advisor to me on the issues facing our senior citizens. Seniors know I am looking out for them. What Congress has done in stealing their money from Social Security and refusing to give them a cost of living raise is unacceptable. They deserve better and they, Pat Boone and the 60 Plus Association know I will work in their best interest. I’m honored to have received this recognition,” said Ed Martin
