IN CASE YOU MISSED IT...Boozman Endorsed by the Southwest Times Record

Little Rock – Over the weekend, the Southwest
Times Record in Fort Smith endorsed John Boozman to be Arkansas’s next U.S.
Senator.
 
In an editorial in its Sunday, October 17th edition—entitled, “Boozman Won’t
Forget Fort Smith”—the editors of the only daily paper in Arkansas’s second
largest city paint a clear picture that John Boozman is the best candidate to
represent Arkansas in the U.S. Senate.

The Times Record editors praise
Boozman as a public servant who “understands blue-collar workers and
entrepreneurs, national guardsmen and reservists” and exalt his “fiscal
conservatism and his insistence on learning about an issue before taking action
on it,” calling for the need of this philosophy in Washington that “will serve
as a useful break in a capitol city characterized by thoughtless actions and
reckless spending.”

The editorial highlights Boozman’s efforts to bring economic development
opportunities to Arkansas.  The editors
point to the influential role Boozman played in bringing the U.S. Marshals
Museum to Fort Smith and how he used his insight from his position on House
Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to press for resources to build
Interstate 49 and to encourage development of the Regional Intermodal
Transportation Authority that “can help a region boom economically.”
 
In closing, the editorial board notes that Senator Blanche Lincoln is “not the
voice we need” at “this moment in history.” 
They write, “Instead, we endorse John Boozman and look forward to seeing
what he can do for the state sitting in the Senate.”

Boozman has
also received the endorsement of The Northwest
Arkansas Newspapers and our only statewide newspaper, The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette,
in the race for Arkansas’s U.S. Senate seat.
