National Association of Manufacturers Honors Boozman for Pro-Manufacturing Support

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) recognizes Congressman John Boozman for his impact on manufacturer’s ability to do business and create jobs though his votes in the 111th Congress. NAM awarded Boozman with the association’s Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence.

“American manufacturing is a critical component of our economic and national security. I am committed to creating a business environment that continues to foster growth, competition and innovation that allows our manufacturers to compete on a global level. The Majority’s determination to borrow, tax, and spend our way back to economic security put our manufacturers at a disadvantage and hurt American workers. I am supportive of economic growth and competitiveness and that begins with providing the manufacturing industry with the tools for prosperity,” Boozman said.

The NAM Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence is earned by Members of Congress who maintained a voting record of 70 percent or better on 18 key votes that showed commitment, understanding and support for the manufacturing sector’s key role in our nation’s economy.

NAM representatives and Baldor Electric Company officials highlighted Boozman’s commitment to protect manufacturers’ abilities to do business and create jobs during the award presentation.

We appreciate his efforts to try to make Arkansas the best place in the world to manufacture products,” John McFarland, Chairman and CEO of Baldor Electric Company said.

The National Association of Manufacturers is the nation’s largest industrial trade association, representing small and large manufacturers in every industrial sector and in all 50 states.
