1,000 Days Since Jon Tester Has Passed A Budget
It’s Been 1,000 Days Since Tester & His Democrat Colleagues Have Passed A Budget
It’s been 1,000 days since liberal United States Senator Jon Tester and his Democrat colleagues who control the Senate have passed a budget and today the National Republican Senatorial Committee has unveiled a new web video reminding Montanans that Tester has failed to perform the most basic function of a U.S. Senator.
Additionally, the web ad highlights the fact that during his bid for the U.S. Senate, Tester campaigned against the reckless spending in Washington and expressed a strong commitment to restoring fiscal discipline to our country, which he has failed to uphold.

Notably, it only took 410 days to build the Empire State Building, yet Tester still needs more time to pass a budget that will rein in his reckless spending habits that are bankrupting our country.
“It’s simply remarkable that it took less time to build the Empire State Building than it has for Jon Tester to pass a budget that will rein in his reckless spending habits,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesman Jahan Wilcox. “With our national debt at $15.2 trillion, Montanans need a Senator who will actually do their job and pass a budget to help restore our country’s fiscal house.”

Tester: “I’m Not About To Put My Kids’ Future And Opportunity On The Line So I Can Spend Money Like A Drunken Sailor. I Am Going To Be Fiscally Responsible. And The Fact Is If You Would Support A Pay-As-You-Go In This Government, We Wouldn’t Be In A Situation Where We Have Every Man, Woman, And Child, And Every Child To Be Born With A $30,000 Debt.” (Montana Senate Debate, www.c-spanvideo.org, 10/12/06)
