Tripp Skipper
Tripp Skipper: RNC Convention Delegate and Special Advisor to Congressman Mike Rogers
Born in Dothan and raised in Mobile, Tripp Skipper is a life long resident of Alabama. Tripp holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mobile.
His professional career began in public service in 1997 working as an intern for Senator Fred Thompson.
Tripp caught the eye of the Tennessee Republican Party and was hired as a Field Representative for the 1998 election cycle.
The State Legislative candidate he was assigned too in East Tennessee was victorious – one of only two seats that Republicans added to the General Assembly in Tennessee.
Since then Tripp has served as Legislative Correspondent for Senator Jeff Sessions, Field Representative for Congressman Robert Aderholt and District Director for Congressman Mike Rogers.
In 2006, Tripp ran unsuccessfully for State Auditor in the GOP Primary.
During the public service lapse from 2006-2008 Tripp was named President of Four Corners Ministries (FCM), an Alabama based non-profit that exist to serve orphans and families in Africa.
As president of FCM, Tripp is responsible for U.S. operations, which include fund raising, advocacy, and program development.
Under Tripp’s leadership, FCM has grown from $30,000 in revenue in 2006 to a revenue of close to a million dollars.
Tripp is passionate about helping the continent’s 60 million orphans and with the launch of a project called “Abaana’s Hope” in Uganda, he has made orphan care a priority for the organization.
In addition to running FCM, Tripp currently serves as Congressman Mike Rogers Senior Advisor, managing all of his political matters in Alabama.
Tripp is also proud to represent Alabama at the RNC Convention in Tampa this year as a delegate for Senator Rick Santorum.
Tripp is married to Sarah Gholston Skipper and they have four children – all girls – Anna (5), Maggie (3), Lucy (2) and Kate (8 months old).
