Donnelly Continues “I’ll Say Anything to Get Elected” Mantra in Latest TV Ad

Indianapolis (September 25, 2012) – The Mourdock campaign underscored again Joe Donnelly’s effort to cover-up his own liberal record of supporting budget busting policies and recently found “support” for tax cuts extensions.  

“Joe Donnelly says he supports balanced budgets in Congress, yet he refused on multiply occasions to support any budget – whether offered by Democrats or Republicans – voted for higher spending, the $2.6 trillion ObamaCare bill, $787 billion failed stimulus plan and the $700 billion bailout of Wall Street, and asked taxpayers to pay for it all by voting repeatedly to raise the debt ceiling by trillions of dollars,” stated Mourdock spokesman Christopher Conner. Have those been good for the economy as some folks have been saying for increased revenues to the federal government? Or have they been bad for the economy and should they not be extended? Donnelly: We have to look at the economy in a overall circle and they have been good for the economy. But that top 1% tax cut, I have been very honest about this, they have been good to help create additional tax revenues at times.
