Latest Mourdock Internal Poll Shows Mourdock Up

On Wednesday, the Richard Mourdock campaign released new internal polling revealing a U.S. Senate seat very much in play for the Indiana Treasurer and Senate candidate, Richard Mourdock.

The poll, conducted from 10/29 – 10/30 by John McLaughlin and Associates, shows Richard Mourdock at 45% and Democrat opponent Joe Donnelly at 44%.

“The Democrats have tried their hardest to drag this campaign into the gutter in order to avoid talking about their failed agenda and Joe Donnelly’s participation in supporting it,” stated Mourdock campaign spokesman Christopher Conner. “Richard Mourdock has traveled the state and spent countless hours speaking with Hoosier voters about the issues that really matter: repealing ObamaCare, improving the economy, growing jobs and keeping Harry Reid from controlling a Senate that hasn’t passed a budget in three-and-a-half years.”

The political environment in Indiana remains very favorable to the Republicans, with Mitt Romney leading President Obama 57% to 39%.

The race for U.S. Senate continues to remain very competitive, with Richard Mourdock now leading Joe Donnelly, 45% to 44%. Additionally, Mitt Romney is poised for a double digit win in Indiana, leading President Obama, 57% to 39%.
