lady, one of the group from Alabama where they minister, had a
very mysterious encounter.
man on the side of the road who looked kind of out of place…no
car around, and she said the Lord told her to pick him up. She said
she felt like it must have been a mistake that the Lord wouldn’t tell
her to do that and kept going for a couple miles until he said it again.
and she told him if he wanted to rob her or murder her she had
nothing and he said, “no ma’am, I have no intentions of that.”
he answered, “two more exits.” She asked him what he thought of
the elections and Obama he said, “there will be no election.” She
said, “what?”
things happen in the US and there would be no election.” She was
startled by this and said, “what?” again. When she looked into the
rear view mirror, he was gone.
up and ask if she was OK. She told him, “yes,” and he said, “are
you sure?” The elderly lady again answered, “yes.”
He started to walk away but turned around and said, “you are
kinda pale are you sure you are OK?”
She said, “if I told you what just happened you wouldn’t believe
me.” He replied, “try me,” so she told him.

This is false. This same story, but not about the election but rather about the return of Jesus, was circulating a few years back. Someone has obviously substituted the details into that story here.

This kind of thing has happened many times. I’ve had people to tell me about instances of picking up a man and after few words they vanish. Happens all over the country, has for many, many years. I do not doubt it happened just as was told.

OMG, people told an end of the world story exactly like this when I was 9 or 10 living as a military brat overseas – and I believed the people at that time telling the story when I was a kid! It’s very old. This was the 70′s when that happened to me. Tsk!
This story is one of those urban myths that’s been doing the rounds for ever. I remember seeing this in a written form in the 70′s and it was probably around before that too. The basic “angel hitch-hiker” story hasn’t changed much, but it used to be “Jesus is coming back soon”.
Why does every religious loony put it down “the lord” or whatever. This is not so unusual and has happened in different places in the world but it has nothing to do with gods or lords its just spirits or ghosts as they are also known and you have to be open minded and tuned in to receive whatever message but 99% of the people who claim it are frauds.

But I find what she says is very strange – for a year now I have been telling folks that there would be no elections!
I believe her story – since I too have been told – I was just hoping I was wrong – I voted anyway
It will start in the South. I have been trying to sell my property and move North to avoid what is coming – but that is not my destiny – I am stuck here and must perform my duties.

Self-delusion…deceiving or deluding oneself…wanting it to happen desperately…Like @ rst says … This same story, but not about the election but rather about the return of Jesus, was circulating a few years back…Actually this story circulates all over the World …connected to different religion, just not Christians, but …Hindus,Muslims , even Buddhists… The same goes for appearances of the DEAD… The dead appear to people all over the world… People who see them even have conversations with them and swear it was real… But we don’t conclude those dead people are resurrected… We have no confirmed scientific evidence that miraculous resurrections occur … But we do have abundant scientific evidence that HALLUCINATION OCCUR…
… hallucinations even happen with groups and cults which have all claimed to have had mass hallucinations of different kinds…Or maybe its just made up story by the reporter…because he din’t have anything else to Report…

what I don’ t get is if the lord was telling her to pick this guy up and all he said is there will be no elections , why not just cut out the middle man and have just told her that.
I heard this story back in the 1990s. The main difference in the story was that the man in the back seat said something about the four horsemen riding. I heard another version where the man in the backseat said something about the horns of the Apocalypse.
So, I am marking this up as being one of those urban myth type stories.

OMG!! My mom just told me today that a friend of hers had this exact same thing happen to her. Man on side of road and the holy spirit spoke to her and said pick him up. She hesitated and It spoke again pick him up. She turns around picks him up and ask where he wants to go and he says up the hill. Then the man said to her there will be no election and when she turned around he was gone. Just disappeared out of the blue. Praise God!! We have already had 1 major event go on recently… Hurricane that hit the east coast. Praise God!!! Prophecy is being fulfilled.
