The Election Will Not Be Close

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Monty Pelerin /American Thinker

The election is tomorrow. The entire buildup to this point has been somewhat surreal. The pollsters tell us that the election is too close to call, but that does not conform with reality.

It is easy to distort reality based on predispositions and desires. For that reason, I state mine. I have no interest in Romney winning other than that he is not Obama. I am not a Republican, although I generally believe that their ideas are less bad than those of Democrats. In a real sense, I am what you might call an “equal-opportunity hater” with respect to politics. I don’t want to be ruled by either party, or anyone else for that matter.

Why does it seem impossible to call this race? My eyes tell me things either that pollsters cannot see or that people are unwilling to tell them. Here are a few of them:

• The country is stuck in a recession which Obama has made worse. After four years, he has no plan to remedy matters.

• Foreign policy, arguably less understandable to voters, is disintegrating in front of their eyes. Benghazi is exploding all over Obama and is something he is unable to blame on someone else.

• More people are on food stamps and welfare than ever before. People sense that Obama is not displeased with this condition.

• Incomes are falling, and unemployment is not. College graduates cannot get jobs commensurate with their education. Despair is everywhere.

• Net worth is falling, and prices are rising. People’s standard of living has declined for four straight years.

• Retirement is no longer an option for large segments of the population.

These are relatively objective measures which people see and feel.

Its not going to matter one bit, the system is corrupt and broken. There is no POLITICAL solution to a SPIRITUAL problem!

They pull down one puppet and throw up another, then the sheeple go back to sleep and their agenda continues!

      • Fred C Dobbs

I think you are correct Warrior52 but if Obama loses I will be feeling good for at least one day.

        • Ozzie_Thinker

I’ll lay bets that under Romney “things” will get a whole measure WORSE! The problem has been that Obama’s tenure has been quasi-Republican. He promised change and merely stalled some of the momentum encouraged by the Bush administration. The problem has always been that America was built by tyranny and is led by tyranny. Completition is an apology for CONFLICT.

        • Schitthead

I’m with ya Dobbs, my feel good might last a few days longer

      • Louis

An accurate appraisal of our country’s situation and that of the world by Warrior 52.

    • elaya11

I agree. warrior52 understands what the fatal illness of the u.s. really is. God is passing judgement on this nation for turning away from him. he has blinded the american people to what is so painfully obvious to some in this country. The entire political structure has been subverted and corrupted by the money interests behind the federal reserve. the u.s. people mistakenly believe they live in today has not existed for at least a century. it is a corrupt, evill despotic regime bent on the destruction of america and then a global socialist government and economy, with the money interests living at the top as kings.

    • GK

HAHAHA, you’re right, this election will NOT be close. But it will not be how you laid it out. Romney has a 92% chance of losing – you guys are wishing on a fallen star.

      • Str8Talker

You may be right… but if BO keeps stinking up America… we all lose anyhow.

    • quisno

no GK we’re even praying for your soul. Theres no time to blast anyone for this will all come out in one direction but the die is cast and NDAA Homeland security through the patriot act will become our Gallows if we the people dont stop this desicration of this nation by all parties.
Washington told us when he left office. He warned : ” that the misrepresentations of one party about the other’s views would tend to render alien to each other those who ought to be bound together by fraternal affection”
James madison was for a multi party system but more than 2 But as you see today even the Tea Party has been overrun with Republican elements. So George Washingtons warnings bcome ever more clear as to not not using paties. VComputers pu us closer together and we have the ability to build Caucases from this Tool I feel we should in vestigateit more..

    • Wonkadelica

More fact-free hot air from BIN’s biggest gas bag. The only way Robme could win is if each one of his personalities was on the ballot as a separate candidate. :

    • S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

This morning when I voted, I went to put my ballot into the machine. Some kid tells me he’ll take my ballot and put it in the machine for me, in the unsecured side compartment of the machine. I told him, No he will not.

The polling manager came over and told me she’d called someone at 6:30 this morning to get the machine fixed. She then calls someone who then tells her to turn the machine on, and let it do its thing. It of course worked just fine, and I put my ballot in.

During the time the machine is cycling its memory, she’s dressing me down because I’m a problem. I tell her that I take voting very seriously. So when I got home, I started calling the news media, as well as the board of elections who maintains the machines. The person on the phone tells me nobody from my precinct had called with a problem. So I’m wondering who this person was actually talking to?

That being said, this election is a fraud, and a sham.

“The Election Will Not Be Close”

You’re absolutely right, they’ve ironed out all the glitches in the electronic vote counting, so they’ll be able to give whatever result they want, but it will have nothing to do with the number of actual votes.

“he who votes decides nothing – he who counts the votes decides everything” – Josef Stalin

Well Monty we can tell you are Republican. But no matter because its just your opinion and last August when I heard Romney was trying to become President I thought “they” have put him in to win so I figured yes he was going to win no matter what we did, it wouldn’t make a difference. But I have changed my mind, I strongly believe Obama will win. And maybe our votes do really count.

    • Str8Talker

The problem starts during the primaries…
      1. More than two parties are needed to build competition…we cannot tell the DIFFERENCE between parties any more except how fast or slow they can trash America.
      2. Spending Millions on campaigning should ELIMINATE… NOT Determine Candidacy. Money, not character, pushes these IDIOTS on us to choose from every 4 years to choose from… 2 bad choices = NO CHOICE AT ALL!
      3. ALL 50 STATES need to select 2 candidates from their respective parties: Republicans, Democrats, Independents & other parties to run for President… ALL ON THE VERY SAME DAY.
Why? Great candidates get buried in underhanded political maneuvers, money pouring into smear campaigns and legal trickery and they cannot continue for lack of money to fight back. Those with money kick out those THEY (not us) do not like.
YOUR VOTE IS AN ILLUSION. YOU GET TO CHOOSE BETWEEN TWO FOLKS YOU WOULD NOT WANT TO VOTE FOR ON YOUR WORSE DAY… because somebody else wants them in to do their work… doesn’t matter which one… they are happy with either to pull their strings on to do their work for them.
FOLKS… it’s time to snip those strings. DEMAND VOTER REFORM NOW!!! It may already too late for 2016. Or nothing will change… so far, it hasn’t in the last several decades.

FOLKS… DEMOCRATS, REPUBLICANS & INDEPENDENTS Need to UNITE and NOT VOTE For a PRESIDENT THIS YEAR… vote for local & state issues tho. Send a message back to DC that screams “WE DON’T LIKE OUR CHOICES… DO BETTER!… NO CONFIDENCE!!!”

    • Anonymous

Had my first small town voting experience it was different shall we say. Romney 2012

    • Anonymous

When Obama took office, most of the anti-war Democrats sat down and shut up. If Romney wins, many of those democrats will soon be back in the streets protesting. The owners don’t want that, so they will give Obama another term. Watch and see.

Never make predictions, particularly about the future, otherwise you risk looking like a fool, as you are with this prediction.

    • W. Willow

Shame on me, I won’t vote for any idiot let alone any evil.

There are no more yeoman statesman with vision enough to stand up and not give way for what We the People want to believe we are and can be — united yet independent. The truth is, we get what special interests pay for — a free lunch special for all the special people.

The vetting process is broken. The people put forward as candidates are a reflection of the corruption we have become and have allowed. Until we reject the level to which we have been subjugated it will only go lower.

“A house divided against itself cannot stand.” We cannot be surprised if we fall down. However, there is always hope if we will get our spiritual house in order.

    • Live Free or Die

Nope, it wasn’t close, that’s for sure… Republicans should have elected Ron Paul and there’d be a ‘R’ ready to go to the White House in January…. instead they followed their plan and get what they deserve… 4 more years of ‘O’…

There you go again! John Rolls, as clueless as ever. Romney self-deported the Tea Party. Demographics are more powerful than unlimited money. • Anonymous

Gosh, JR! Your election map looks SO different from all the others I saw. On the OTHER maps the colors were different. Like, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Florida,Virginia and Ohio were all BLUE! “My eyes tell me things either that pollsters cannot see”. I’ll bet! A Romney victory, for example, or Pink Elephants…

    • Anonymous

Well it looks like someones facts were not based in reality, Hmmmm. I am in agreement with Warrior52. We are in the mist of an awakening, a spiritual solving of our Nation and world scenarios.

      #EpicFail

Seriously the things you listed are a joke the president doesn’t control the economy the country is falling apart the best thing a president can do is slow it down witch is exactly what Obama has done. Also its people like Romney who destroyed the economy.Business men destroyed the country and that’s who you think will save it?Not to mention Romney wanted to cut schooling and raise military Obama wants to cut military and raise schooling these are the kinds of reasons why the election wasn’t close.Just stop making articles and focus on counting to potato

    • TinkyWinky

I’m glad this is still on the current post. Obama won, I can’t say I’m enthused but he is better than Romney. The post presumed a lot and got it wrong. 4 more years of mediocre politics
