The Lady of Shalott
This picture is just stunning.
Poetry, a topic I am very much new too. To be honest I have never really liked poetry and I have never been good at writing it, but I have to say after watching Anne of Green Gables (a HUGE favorite movie of mine) I have realized that I actually quite enjoy it. In the movie Anne of Green Gables *swoon alert* my favorite part in the movie is when Anne is reenacting her favorite poem Lady of Shalott. That movie has been a part of my life for some time….since I was a kid actually….and I still have to say it’s one of my favorite movies to this day. Anne of Green Gables is not only one of the decent innocent like movies but it shows you many life lessons to use on a daily basis. Anne, the main character, shows you that being nice to even the meanest of people not only kills the disease of others inner hatred but in the long run you could possibly make a new friend. Anne also shows you to never give up on what you love most; which was writing for Anne and later on Gilbert. *swoon again* I will post a clip below with Anne reenacting The Lady of Shalott and Loreena McKennitt, a wonderful singer and musician, singing The Lady of Shalott poem as a song.
