History's Pawn Stars NOT FAKE! Says Jilted Former Employee Olivia Black
I recently had the opportunity to ask former “Pawn Star” Olivia Black about her experiences working at the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop and her wrongful termination from History’s hit reality series in 2012.
Russell Scott – Olivia, you appeared in 8 episodes of Pawn Stars, a program seen by over seven million people every episode. What has been your most memorable experience working at the store that wasn’t shared on camera?
Olivia Black – Sitting in the Old Man’s office with him, Rick, Mark Hall-Patton, discussing literature. And I was actually in 27 episodes.
Russell Scott – My apologies! Imdb only lists 8. You should have a word with them. Do you still work for Rick Harrison’s Gold and Silver Pawn Shop?
Russell Scott – What are your thoughts on the ethics of pawning? Do you think it’s a predatory lending business?
Olivia Black - I personally don’t feel it’s taking advantage if people. If that’s the road you need to take, then you put yourself there. I don’t think it’s predatory.
Russell Scott – Fourteen months after your hire, at the height of your popularity on the show, you were fired by the producers when your previous nude modeling work for the website www.suicidegirls.comwas revealed. Can you talk about that? How it came about? And what was your reaction?
