Business and Movie Leaders Announce Formation of Positivity Pictures, LLC

EL DORADO HILLS, CA:  March 30, 2016 – Two business leaders and an academy award-winning Hollywood filmmaker today announced the formation of Positivity Pictures, LLC, a movie production company designed to obtain, develop, and produce high-quality movies with a positive message.

Kieth Merrill, an experienced movie producer, director, writer, and the recipient of an Oscar, business executive and best-selling author Gary W. Moore, and Theodore P. Savas, a prominent independent trade publisher, businessman, and attorney, bring to the table a unique blend of experience and talents they intend to thread together in the movie/entertainment industry. And that industry, they argue, has a poor track record of producing movies that offer inspiring films grounded in good morals and positive meaning.

“The people who buy the tickets speak with their wallets, and they love and support wholesome uplifting movies,” explained Merrill. “They consistently support G- and PG-rated movies in higher numbers than R-rated films. Time after time, well-done movies with a wholesome message, faith-based or otherwise, do well at the box office and reverberate in a positive way throughout society.”

“We believe Positivity Pictures fills a vacuum in the industry,” continued Gary Moore, who has served as the former CEO of both public and private companies, and is known nationally as a renowned speaker and author. “Take a look at faith-based movies and the staggering success they routinely garner at the box office and on DVD and via streaming,” continued Moore. “Risen, for example, led the box office two weeks in a row, and Miracles from Heaven and many others have done extremely well.”

“There is no shortage of production companies or movie releases,” explained Theodore P. Savas, the managing director of publisher Savas Beatie LLC, who enjoys deep and wide ties to a broad variety of agents, publishers, authors, and other related organizations worldwide. “We will have unprecedented access to early-stage manuscripts that will enable us to option books and stories with tremendous movie potential, from documentaries to mainstream wide releases.”

Positivity Pictures LLC has several properties under contract, is actively reviewing a large number of potential future projects, and is forming a film fund for future investors.
