6 Movies Students Could Be Watching Instead of Writing Papers

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

The dilemma of the winter holidays: go out and enjoy the holiday spirit or study for finals? You know that there is a solution to this dilemma. Services like 99 papers take care of your writing problems while you can enjoy these movies of 2017.

1. The Disaster Artist

Wonder what it’s like making a movie and being absolutely convinced that you are a genius? Watch James Franco’s interpretation of the making of the infamous movie “The Room.” Based on a ridiculous, but true story of how Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero become friends and hope to make it in Hollywood. Instead of making a drama of a complicated love-triangle, this turns into a bizarre cult movie classic.

2. The Shape of Water

The Guillermo del Torro movie is an excellent find for those who are looking for a sophisticated, yet extraordinary, love story. It shows how suspicion, intolerance and hatred can turn the most decent person into a monster. But the ability to understand another being and see beauty in monstrosity may be the cause of magic, and that can work wonders.

3. I, Tonya

For those of you who are used to see Margot Robbie in the role of a seductive and daring Harley Quinn, you’re not in for a treat. But she does give a stellar performance, portraying the famously scandalous figure skater Tonya Harding. The movie focuses on different aspects of her life, from growing up with an abusive mother to Harding’s obnoxious behavior in figure-skating. Tonya’s life is an excellent example of how love can turn into hate in a minute, true opposites of the same coin.

4. Star Wars: The Last Jedi

The eighth episode of the saga is just as epic as the Star Wars saga itself. Critic expectations for the director Rian Johnson were very high; he had a difficult task to develop the storylines created by J. J. Abrams and raise the bar for the saga to a new level. No point in telling whether he did it or not, just watch the movie and decide for yourself.

5. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

The modern take on the iconic 1995 Jumanji classic movie. In 2017, four teenagers find themselves stuck in a video game. To survive, they need to pass challenging levels. You also have a fantastic opportunity to see what would happen if an over-sensitive teenager got stuck inside The Rock’s Body.

6. The Post

One of the most anticipated movie premiers of 2017. The story of the first female newspaper publisher of the Washington Post, Katharine Graham and its editor Ben Bradley. The story is centered around the effort to uncover a government conspiracy which has been going on for almost 30 years and ties four different presidents. The Post is one of the most visible candidates for an Oscar nomination and is the first collaboration of Steven Spielberg, Meryl Streep, and Tom Hanks.

December shouldn’t be about essays, coursework, deadlines and all that stressful stuff. So treat yourself to some pre-Christmas movie-watching and enjoy. After all, you deserve a break.
