60 Ft. Sinkhole Swallows Parts Of Disney World

A 60-foot-wide sinkhole formed under a resort in central Florida early Monday morning, causing one building to collapse and another to slowly sink. Guests at the Summer Bay Resort, about 10 minutes from Walt Disney World, called for help, saying they heard loud noises and windows cracking. The estimated 35 people inside the buildings were evacuated.

The question is why? Why did a sinkhole form there. We use to get sinkholes where i lived as a kid and it was because of bad plumbing. This was in NY by the way. But it never did no 60 foot deep hole. Florida is rife with monster sinkholes. What does it mean? If anything.. -Mort

Florida is pretty notorious for sinkholes. You should research the geography and elements found primarily in the region which are common to cause sink holes. Perhaps the only question you should have is why is it the first time for Disney World to experience this first hand. Unless they already have.

More research should have been done on your behalf before you posted this “fear porn.”
