One website, a South African website named Praag published one article with no verifiable attribution that claimed that the U.S. government asked S.A. if U.S. citizens would be permitted to take refuge in S.A. in the event of an eruption of Yellowstone, then numerous others, without doing any fact checking or validation.
This may be true, but Praag is apparently not a reputable source. If any others can come up with an independent source that can validate Praag’s claims, then I might see a reason for concern.

Another brain dead article. Yellowstone is unlikely to produce another super eruption for the simple fact it no longer has the material to do so. The reason why it produced such huge eruptions in the past is because it’s a hot spot like Hawai, that melted it’s way through the mountain range. They know via GPS tracking that the continent is moving in a south west direction which means the hotspot is now entering lowlands and will no longer have the huge amounts of material to eject. That doesn’t rule out smaller eruptions which it produces at a much more frequent rate. Earthquakes are the biggest danger not eruptions.
The University of Utah says the magma chamber has 600 cubic kilometers (144 cubic miles) of magma in it. It is 55 miles long.
It doesn’t come from being in mountains, it comes from deep in the Earth’s mantle. It doesn’t matter which way the continent is moving.
