Ο Πρόεδρος του ΛΑΟΣ κ. Γ. Καρατζαφέρης, σε συνέντευξή του στο ραδιόφωνο του ΑΝΤ1, αναφερόμενος στη σύλληψη του Άκη Τσοχατζόπουλου, τόνισε τα εξής:

«Πολύ βολική η ημερομηνία της σύλληψής του…Τι άλλαξε τελευταία ημέρα και έπρεπε να γίνει τώρα η σύλληψή του; Όλοι μας ξέραμε τόσα πράγματα και είχαμε υποψιαστεί και γνωρίζαμε πράγματα. Νομίζω ότι όλα αυτά, εντάσσονται στο πλαίσιο σχεδιασμών δημιουργίας εντυπώσεων. Η σημερινή ημερομηνία σύλληψης του κ. Τσοχατζόπουλου βολεύει όλους αυτούς που θέλουν να δημιουργήσουν εντυπώσεις και να προβάλουν την εικόνα ότι «είμαστε αδέκαστοι». Η σημερινή σύλληψη βολεύει την κυβέρνηση και αυτούς οι οποίοι όλα αυτά τα χρόνια «ντάντευαν», συνδιαλέγονταν και χάιδευαν τη διαφθορά. Μην κοροϊδευόμαστε. Όλα αυτά τα χρόνια ανέχονταν την διαφθορά.

Είμαι από εκείνους που πιστεύουν ότι σε κάποια πράγματα υπάρχουν «συγκοινωνούντα δοχεία» μεταξύ Εκτελεστικής και Δικαστικής Εξουσίας.
