Για ακόμα μία χρονιά η Ελλάδα απέτυχε να πάρει σημαντική θέση στον χρυσοφόρο τομέα της Κρουαζιέρας. Το πολυετές αίτημα του τουριστικού κλάδου για να δημιουργηθούν οι συνθήκες ώστε να ξεκινάνε οι κρουαζιέρες από την Ελλάδα (home porting) έμεινε και πάλι στα χαρτιά.

Την ίδια ώρα που εμείς γυρίζουμε κακόγουστα βίντεο, με πρωταγωνίστρια την Υπουργό Τουρισμού, οι Τούρκοι επενδύουν σημαντικά ποσά και προσελκύουν μεγάλη μερίδα κρουαζιερόπλοιων.
Το Home Porting θα προσφέρει περίπου 2.000.000 επιβάτες που θα ξεκινάνε την κρουαζιέρα τους από την Ελλάδα με προσδοκώμενα έσοδα άνω των 2.000.000.000? ετησίως.
Ο ΛΑ.Ο.Σ πιστεύει ότι τα προβλήματα του Ελληνικού τουρισμού δεν λύνονται μέσα στα γραφεία και πίσω από τις καρέκλες.
