Silvio Berlusconi Sentenced To 7 Years In Prison

Former Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi was today sentenced to seven years in prison and banned from public office for life after being found guilty of paying a teenager for sex. Berlusconi, 76, paid an underage Moroccan teenager for sex and then tried to cover it up with phone calls to police when she was arrested for alleged theft. Berlusconi and the woman had denied having had sex. Prosecutors were seeking a six-year jail term for having underage sex and abuse of power but a Milan court today handed him a longer sentence of seven years. Berlusconi was also given a lifetime ban from politics after the former Prime Minister was found guilty today.

Best buddy of Russian President Vladimir Putin, playboy extroidanaire, and corrupt as hell. Its nice to see him sentenced to 7 years but with that said, he can appeal twice before the sentence is final and that could take months or even years. When and if he does have to serve the sentence, it won’tbe all 7 years and it will probably be a pretty comfortable ride for the guy. I’m sure he has connections. If not in the prison system, in the mafia in the prison system so he will be fine. It will be a inconvenience to him and not much more. -Mort
