The Heritage Foundation Will Be Attending The Inaugural Freedom Festival In Bournemouth

The Freedom Association has today announced that the Heritage Foundation, one of the world’s leading conservative think tanks, will be playing a key part in the inaugural Freedom Festival – due to be held in Bournemouth from Friday 14th March until Sunday 16th March.Bryan Riley, Jay Van Andel Senior Policy Analyst in Trade Policy at The Heritage Foundation will be attending The Freedom Festival to lead a session on the Index of Economic Freedom.The Index of Economic Freedom is an annually published ranking which measures the degree of economic freedom in the world’s nations. The Index of Economic Freedom is compiled by The Heritage Foundation in partnership with the Wall Street Journal. First published in 1995, it is the most widely respected measurement of national economic progress throughout the world.Representatives of The Heritage Foundation such as Ted Bromund, Senior Research Fellow in Anglo-American Relations at Heritages Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom, will also be present for the duration of the Freedom Festival; participating in sessions such as “Defending Freedom in the Free World”.

This session will also include a contribution from Iain Murray, Vice President for Strategy at the Competitive Enterprise Institute – another world-renowned, Washington DC based think tank.

The Defending Freedom in the Free World session will also include contributions from Donal Blaney, founder of the Young Britons’ Foundation and CEO of Conservative Way Forward.

The session will be introduced by Dan Hannan MEP, one of the United Kingdom’s leading voices for freedom, and chaired by Charles Crawford, former HM Ambassador to Sarajevo (1996 – 1998), Belgrade (2001 – 2003). and Poland (2003 – 2007).

Following the announcement of The Heritage Foundation’s attendance at the Freedom Festival, Rory Broomfield, Director of The Freedom Association and Chairman of the Freedom Festival’s Executive Council commented:
