A Guy Rode His Bike Through Iran, and What He Saw Will Likely Surprise You…

November 21, 2015 by Sophie McAdam

Everyone he meets is more awesome than you can imagine.

A blogger and adventurer who travels the world on an old motorbike has just made a fascinating video about his experiences in Iran. Considering the vast majority of us have very limited knowledge of the country and are influenced heavily by negative media representation, it’s an insightful and much-needed look at the reality of life there.

Ed March went to Iran as part of an epic trip on a Honda C90 from Malaysia to the UK. He admits he was nervous about going, but everyone who had been said it was a wonderful country. Ed decided to go for it, and it ended up being his favorite part of the journey so far. Basically, Ed quickly discovered that Iranians are amazing people. Everyone he passes wants to give him something for free: a pen, an orange, some food, whatever. They all smile and say hello, they want to know where he’s from, they invite him to eat.

Positive portrayal of Iran (which looks like a beautiful country, too) is pretty much non-existent in the mainstream media. We shouldn’t be surprised to hear that Iranians are such warm and lovely folk, but years of misrepresentation have managed to persuade us otherwise. Ed, who has made a film about his trip, gives his opinion on why there is so much negative propaganda against the country. “Call me cynical,” he says, “but I think it’s so that when America does invade there’s not going to be any public resistance, because people have been conditioned to believe Iran is evil.”

Do you agree? Please share this interesting slice of reality in Iran. Have you ever traveled there or to another Muslim country? Did you have similar experiences to Ed March? Let us know your thoughts below!

You know, this world we would be better place, including America, if we could rid the world of Israel, the real terrorist state.

or if we all respected each other the way we should, i have Jewish friends who are very good people and who are very charitable and giving people.

I dont understand why the Israelis celebrated the 911 implosions of the world trade centers.

We are all having a human expierence until politics and/or religion are interjected.

He speaks of Israel and immediately you talk about Jews.
Proof that you do not even know the difference between Zionism and Judaism, despite you having friends “Jews”, both are totally opposed.

          • The Real Deal

90% of Jews support the terrorist state of Israel. They’re all complicit as far as I’m concerned. Go talk to a Jew and ask them about what they think of Palestine… Then come back and talk to me.

The nice Israeli folks are the peeps who have a working “Cashless Society” model.

We’re told the devil is going to use a cashless system.

I sometimes wonder why Israel lays the groundwork for a system the devil must have. A system that will be implemented resulting in millions of people, X-ians to walk into the guillotines. These people while weeping will watch one another get their heads willingly lopped off.

Why kind of abusive families do these people come from….? What kind of mental illness?

“I’m gonna cut your head off.”

          ‘Dar, OK.’

        • The Real Deal

Your credibility was shot a long time ago. You support terrorism. Just because the Jew run media says Iran is bad, doesn’t make it so. Answer me one question. What has Iran done to you?

Antisemitism is a great scourge. You must me islamic, nazi. kkk, skinhead or just plain inbred…

        • The Real Deal

Jews are not Semitic, moron. Semite means Arab… Jews are not Arabic. Jews are Khazar, and from Europe… Not from the middle east. Anti-Semite is a buzz word to keep people from opening their mouth for fear of being called something they aren’t.

True antisemites are those that hate Arabs. Nice try at your shilling, but people like me are too awake to fall for your crap, and I’m waking people up everyday no matter how hard you try and counter me. You can’t, because your people are showing their true colors by virtue of their media propaganda that people are quickly waking up to.

It’s not the people. It’s what they are forced into believe within their small society, and the people of the world who believe they ugly story as a holy bible. It’s self inflicted wounds caused by catholic church from the early history.

People who live in the countryside are always friendly in just about any country. Just never let them be ruled by Negroes, Democraps, or Lieberals.

I would never plow a Cuntservative, or a tea bagger. Fosheezy has some standards.

        • Pink Slime

it is a FACT that when people are ruled by Democraps, Negroes, or Liberals they become unhappy, miserable, nasty, void of humanity.

          Take for instance you…..

You know the world will be a better place when our Lord decides to bring the gavel down ; and only then will man realise by the action of his right hand and direction of his forehead [their minds], will he understand how much he’s been deceived .

      • truthseeker4809

You are not a slave, so do not talk as if you are one. You don’t have Lord. You are the Lord to yourself.

    • Ideas Time

Thanks for the video. Very nice.

      Psalm:23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want, He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters, he restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness , For His names sake.
Perhaps we are all slaves to our hearts desires and it is humility that sets us free.

When America does invade? He thinks America is going to invade Iran? Uhh America is never going to invade Iran.

      • xenoverse

I love how they just mention it in passing as if it’s just a given that America will invade Iran. It was just a stupid American neocon/Israeli conspiracy to try to take over the world. That bullcrap has long since been gone mneah outta here. At this point it is ancient history.

    • freedom007

I am not surprised, I would have expected exactly this.
It is like it was in rural Italy or southern France during 1960s, 70s… when people there still almost all adhered to some basic values of politeness and hospitality.

These values, however, are transmitted via family and via religion.
No matter which religion. In India people are guest-friendly and polite in Krsna´s name, in Cambodia and Japan in Buddha´s, in USA in the name of Jesus, and in Iran in obedience to Allah´s Command given by Muhammad.
And it is the mothers and grandmas who teach all other ones within family the respective stories and rules.
The care for basic human and householding values won´t function without a rather traditional family structure – at least it seems so today.
Islam really is a warlike religion – as to the letter of its Holy book.
But practically it serves among the normal, peaceful citizens, the workers and peasants and crafters and merchants, the very same purposes as Catholicism did in Italy and southern France.
      It keeps up human basics.
thats what this traveler was so overwhelmed of…
It was a natural behavior pattern that was rather normal in his own country 100 years ago…
but the West practically lost it.
Why? Because we mock our own deities and values, including Family, instead of keeping them in loving respect. This is unnatural, and leads to Decadence.
Wherever traditional family religiosity declines and gets left behind,
      guest-friendliness and politeness decline too,
and later the adherence to laws and the basic sense of honesty gets lost –
at the end we got the same social and behavioral tohu wa bohu that we see in L.A. and London and Hamburg.

Let us return to our religious customs and to the faith that there really IS a God above, and we will re-learn everything. Then we won´t have to travel to “backward countries” to feel at home and among humans again. This cultural change, which will come by Nature, sooner or later, no matter if you accept it or not, will be a re-institution of natural circumstances, and not a step backwards in history.

This information doesn´t surprise me at all as even though I have never visited Iran, I was engaged to be married to an Iranian who knew the shah of Iran. If one is in an Iranian´s home and compliments them on anything, the Iranian will give it to them. It gets so bad that one cannot compliment an Iranian on anything because they will always give it to you. Even the poorest people in the villages do this and also serve total strangers whatever food they have.

Iran would not be a backward country if the CIA had not deposed the shah which it did in 1979. I was taught that, as the American I am, but it was confirmed by people in all of western Europe, Canada, and even Argentina because the truth was in their mainstream press. Just the American and Australian presses didn´t publish this fact. One of the reasons the CIA deposed the shah is because he was in the process of industrializing Iran that would have competed with the west. OMG the powers-that-be didn´t tolerate that, so they had the CIA depose him.

There are several other reasons why the CIA deposed the shah. You can read some of those reasons in http://www.truedemocracy.net/w01/3.html where you will probably learn about a relatively secret organization as well which is the organization that caused the CIA to depose the shah.

And oh, if you think that this is all propaganda that my fiancé taught me, reconsider as an Iranian I met in New York told me that his uncle was given many contracts by the shah to build infrastructure in Iran too such as bridges, etc. So it is not propaganda.

Iran is one of only two countries whose central bank is owned by them, the other country being North Korea. All other countries central bank is owned by Rothschild, the richest man on the planet worth $500 trillion. This is the real reason why war has been advocated against Iran. But now it is my understanding that there won´t be any war against Iran. I don´t know why, but am sure happy about it.

This nonsense regarding Iran making nuclear weapons is propaganda as Iran needs nuclear for their energy needs so they are able to sell their oil to others.

      Peace,
