If this was not intentional … why then didn’t the cargo ship stay and help the disabled Naval vessel and it’s crew until the Navy could send support and help guide this vessel and take it’s crew to safety? Why was the Cargo ship a hit and run response to the accident if they were innocent?

Strange that this mouth breather that made the video thinks he knows what happened when the Navy hasnt even finished checking the data from the ship’s Aegis weapons system, which records routine details on position, course, speed and any nearby ships or aircraft.
The reason the incident was a “hit and run” as I see idiots in the comments saying, is because the cargo ship was huge, and running on auto pilot. They were significantly larger than the little destroyer.
They didnt even realize they hit anything until they turned around to see what happened, for perspective on how big the ship is, turning around took a half hour, and then THEY reported it.
The reason there was communications issues, is because the cargo boat damaged the destroyers communications node.
The destroyer, a smaller ship, is supposed to get the fuck out of the way of ships big enough to run it over, since ships the size of the cargo ship CANNOT simply put the breaks on or turn around them.
This was an error on the destroyers part.

Look, there is no way a cargo container ship can ram a moving target. The Fitzgerald was not moving. Why? Or the Fitzgerald crossed paths with the ship. Why? And what was the path of the cargo ship before the collision? Yes, something is amiss.

Yes, said the same thing. Those huge cargo ships are basically un-manoeuvrable. So the blame lies with the destroyer placing itself in harms way on purpose for some reason or another.
The US ship was cloaking itself and was in the region to spy on Japan and it could not move when the big ship got close because they would have to turn the cloaking device off and that would reveal the top secret.

How about this scenario and I admit I am plagiarizing a large part of it. The Chinese are pissed off at US intrusions into the S. China Sea. They decide to send a message to US that their tolerance is wearing thin. They set off an EMP device near the destroyer taking out all the electronics. It is now blind. Never experiencing such an event before, the Navy assumes that there is an onboard malfunction so they get busy troubleshooting the problem. Along comes a container vessel where the crew is doing a Joseph Hazelwood (Exxon Valdex) job of navigating and they hit the ship at an angle. Perhaps the 7 missing crew members were working in the area where the electronics room was located and they were killed during the collision. This was a holy s _ _ t moment for the navy who now realizes that their whole fleet is vulnerable to EMP attacks. They are now trying to figure out how to harden the on board electronics on all vessels with faraday cages to make them less vulnerable. The could be a sort of repeat of the USS Thomas Cook incident in the Black Sea where a Russian fighter flew over the Aegis class ship and turned off all the electronics.
The US Navy could never publicly admit to such a scenario. We will have to see if the US provocations in the S. China Sea continues. If true the US will be working hard to electrically harden all ships particularly carrier groups. This is something the US government would never consider for the domestic power grid; another reason to keep quiet.
