In Turkey many people think tea time is 5 ‘o’ clock, but T knew Arther had grown up with the English 4 ‘o’ clock tea convention. As well as a white rabbit, a Mad Hatter suddenly appeared and disappeared, announcing, “Time 4 T, time for tea!” “Don’t concern yourself with passing illustrations,” said T comfortingly, “these things happen in Göbeklitepe time. You are quite safe.”

Ayşe and Arther spoke to the stones… they had been minding their own business, existing quite happily beneath the earth in their own private paradigm of existence, comfortable in situ as generation after generation of humans went about life above. Quantum physics suggests the observer affects the outcome. Unobserved, the Göbeklitepe family existed in their own animated reality. As soon as humans unveiled their peaceful privacy, things changed and their existence had to return to one of apparent dormancy; back to a perceived state of lifelessness: unto dust shalt thou return. One day they detected the curiosity of humans and the disturbance of their peace and quiet. The humans discovered and uncovered them. Once the supporting earth had been removed the T’s had to be propped up by wooden and metal frames and bracing. While Ayşe, Arther and the T family shared the same frequency of awareness, there were no frames or braces nor human observation to break the magic spell. The concept of consciousness and defining or quantifying it in words is apparently not easy. As a Dr. Prof. Chris Clarke once put it, “We’re trying to apply calculations to something that cannot be encompassed by calculation.”

Ayşe suddenly realised Mrs. T, was reading a book and asked what it might be. “Nutuk,” replied Mrs. T, “the 36 hour speech by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk delivered between 15-20 October 1927; well, if he could be bothered to talk for 36 hours, I can be bothered to read it in less. Since we were uncovered, I wanted to understand where we are and what the implications might be. It seems we have been unearthed into the nation state of the Republic of Turkey. Since this chap Mustafa was the founding leader, I thought I’d do a spot of homework. They sacrificed much to secure this land territory, children and adults. Lives were given to fend off multiple invading foreign forces. Once the necessary territory was secured Atatürk declared they wanted nothing more and nothing less.” Arther piped up, “Turks are made up of various factions, but there’s a quote by ex President Ahmet Necdet Sezer from November 2004 whereby he said ‘Everyone bound to the Turkish state through the bond of citizenship is a Turk.” Ayşe knew Arther had some useful tit-bits about Turkey, “Does that mean the T’s are Turks?” One of the little T’s waved a flag.
