Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, Inc. to Join West Marine for Its Cruising for a Cause Charity Night

What:              Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, Inc. will be joining West Marine for one of the retailer’s Cruising for a Cause Charity Nights, an evening that highlights boating and marine environmental non-profit organizations. ADRC, which is raising money for its upcoming Regatta and Awards Dinner taking place on June 14 at the Sagamore Yacht Club in Oyster Bay, is among the local organizations West Marine is helping to raise funds through its West Islip store event. 

Thursday’s Cruising for a Cause event coincides with the grand opening of West Marine’s newly expanded 24,800-square-foot flagship store in West Islip. Among the Cruising for a Cause and other grand opening festivities will be special appearances by Nick Mavar of Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch and Captain Ralph Wilkins of National Geographic Channel’s Wicked Tuna. 

                        ADRC will also have an exhibitor’s table for guests who wish to learn about the organization and the latest research into finding a cure for Alzheimer’s Disease.

                        6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Where:                        West Marine

                        147 Sunrise Highway, West Islip, NY

Directions:      Sunrise Highway (Rte. 27) to Exit 41 toward Southern Pkwy/Robert Moses Park. Merge onto the service road. After 0.7 mile, West Marine will be on the right-hand side.
