Civil war at deadlock

Since 2011, Syria has been divided between the south of the country ruled by the regime of Bashar al-Assad and the north, under the control of the Free Syrian Army. In the north region, the Syrian rebels are in conflict with the Jihadist group, El Nostra, part of Islamic State, also present in Iraq and Lebanon. The intensity of the conflicts which have been ravaging the country for nearly four years and the regime’s suppression of all opposition have led to a massive exodus of the population to neighboring countries. There are currently over 3 million Syrian refugees outside its borders, of which the majority are found in Lebanon and Jordan.

At present none of the parties present seems to have the material and human resources to put an end to the conflict. The civil war is therefore expected to continue in 2015 and armed conflicts could well be prolonged and more intense. Despite the re-election of Bashar el Assad with a crushing majority in June 2014, the Syrian regime is still weakened by the international sanctions. It now controls only part of the territory. Bashar el Assad nevertheless has the clear support of minority religious communities (Alaouite, Druze and Christian) and part of the business community.

The Syrian revolutionaries, for their part, are divided between the National Syrian Council (NSC), which is based in Turkey and the Free Syrian Army. The NSC, led by Hadi al-Bahra is considered by the international community as the main Syrian opposition force but its political significance is waning. The Free Syrian Army is present on the ground. It is fighting against the regime and the Jihadists but has little contact with the NSC. Divided into militias, it is being increasingly weakened by the repeated attacks of Islamic State.

Syria has been subject to international sanctions since 2012. With the exception of China, Russia and Iran, the regime is cut off from the international community. The advance of Islamic State in the region could change this situation. The Syrian regime, though still under an embargo, has become de facto a player in the fight against the advance of the Islamic State (ISIS).

AND NOW ……….. you know the rest of the story. Should the people FIGHT or FLIGHT? What would you do in their place? Don’t they deserve help? There is only war in Syria 24/7/365. No life to live as a normal human being. It gets worse everyday. How much can a human being take trying to live in a war zone? Perhaps that is why they are leaving it.

A Time will come when we see whom exactly has infiltrated the Syrian exodus to cause havoc wherever they go. Many Countries are experiencing that now. More will be seen later. What will be done about it? It is anyone’s guess but IT will not be good. ISIS is on the march to your Country and you need to be aware of that. They are evil men doing extremely evil things to anyone they choose to, wherever they are. YOU are their enemy. They are TERRORISTS. IT IS GOING TO BE VERY DANGEROUS FOR ALL VERY SOON.

What can you do? Try to keep your head on. Be alert about everyone around you everywhere you are. Report any suspicious activity to authorities immediately, take photos and videos. This is real guys, get a grip and deal with it. It is your life at stake now. The war with ISIS is coming to you in your Home land. Be prepared and not foolish. Remember, the Syrian people are good people and need our help badly, they are NOT ISIS. Help them, be kind and understanding and compassionate. They have come a long way from their home for some safety and rest from war. They are NOT the enemy. They are human beings trying to survive just like you until they can go home to Syria safely.

When the Berlin Wall fell and the East Germans fled to the West, a W. German friend said to me ” I do not see why we have to help them, it isn’t my problem”, I said to him, “are they not fellow German people who paid the price for your freedoms all these years because they were in the wrong area at the wrong time”? He just looked at me and tears rolled down his face and cried and yes he had changed his view. He took some in and comforted them until they could do for themselves and return home to the East now open for business and life again. There was no life or freedoms under the RUSSIAN control.

Someday YOU may be in need of help and assistance and even homeless. You could also help an American in need. Wo what a concept. Do what you can or sit back watch the game, goto a party and enjoy your life as the world falls apart because people gave up caring of others basic needs for survival. Just know that you helped it along its way to destruction by ignoring it. What are you waiting for? If we do no good now, there is none and no hope for any good to come.
