Fantasy Football Outlook: Greg Jennings moved on in free agency and the Packers countered by selecting two talented running backs in Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin in the draft. That doesn’t mean Rodgers won’t be one of the better fantasy quarterbacks and a worthy second-round pick.
That’s about where Rodgers is going in recent ADP trends and he’s the first quarterback off the board. With the quarterback position so deep and filled with late round, breakout potential options there is really no need to take a quarterback higher than the second round.
Rodgers still has Jordy Nelson, James Jones, Jermichael Finley and Randall Cobb who should take his game to another level. While the Packers have add talent to the ground game, they won’t get away from being a pass first offense and Rodgers is primed for over 4,300 yards and 40 touchdowns as the Packers continue to be one of the elite offensive teams in football.

Summer of 2012: Fantasy Projections
Fantasy Football Outlook: Aaron Rodgers wasn’t the only quarterback to put up monster numbers in 2011, but it’s hard to argue anyone else being the top dog at his position, even if his production fell off in December. The Packers will clearly be a pass-heavy team again with as they seem content on using James Starks and Alex Green in the backfield.
The stock piling of receiving talent just doesn’t seem to end as talented rookies from a year ago in Randall Cobb and D.J. Williams, could be stars of the future, but they have to find more snaps first. Doing so will be a challenge as veterans Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Jermichael Finley are already staples in this offense. Heck the Packers even added another un-drafted talent in Dale Moss who may emerge in the future.
The one concern I have at this time is the Packers offensive line, which played poorly down the stretch, and they gave up four sacks in their playoff loss to the Giants. If Rodgers should get knocked around, his concussion problems could always come back, which would be a bad thing for his fantasy prospects.
Consider that the lone downside in Rodgers game, and if your targeting a quarterback to start your redraft or dynasty league this summer, Rodgers should be the top man on your list.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
Aaron Rodgers was the top ranked quarterback coming into fantasy football drafts last summer and posted another strong performance. While concussion problems were an issue, and could be again in 2011, Rodgers skill and talent surrounding him makes this signal caller one of the best fantasy quarterbacks you can acquire.
Many will debate that Michael Vick is worth of being the top fantasy quarterback to draft this summer because of his added running stats, but remember that Rodgers has some decent wheels of his own with at least 316 yards rushing over the past two season and four or more rushing touchdowns in all three years as a full time starter.
Then again, like Vick, it could be his ability to run that is his downfall as health issues for both quarterbacks seem to happen when they are on the run, outside of the pocket. While Rodgers is a minor health risk, his quality production is top notch, and he’s relatively consistent from week to week. Look to Rodgers as a worthy first round selection in ten team standard fantasy football snake drafts.
8/2011 Update - The Packers re-signed James Jones and Rodgers now has all of his pass catchers back from the past few years. Look for this star quarterback to post another terrific season and he should be the top quarterback to target in your league.

2010 Preview
Aaron Rodgers is probably the top fantasy quarterback as we head into the 2010 season. After a breakout performance as a starter in ‘08, Rodgers took the next step to becoming a fantasy stud last year. With a great cast of players around him and the teams aggressive nature on offense, Rodgers should have another terrific season for fantasy football owners.
2010 Fantasy Football Outlook
2009 Fantasy Year In Review: Aaron Rodgers fantasy stock grew fast and ferrous when he had a standout preseason last August. Many times a players strong preseason doesn’t translate to a big time regular season but that wasn’t the case for Rodgers.
By seasons end, Rodgers was the best quarterback in fantasy football, and he is primed to have another big season in 2010.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: For a quarterback to be a true fantasy stud, he needs great talent around him. Rodgers may not have a Randy Moss or Andre Johnson, but he does have maybe the best overall cast for any quarterback.
With four solid receivers and a budding star tight end, Rodgers has many weapons to distribute the football. Not only that but Rodgers has some nimble feet as well with over 300 yards rushing and five touchdowns on the ground last year.
With his added fantasy value on the ground, we give Rodgers the nod over Drew Brees and Peyton Manning as the top fantasy option at quarterback.
Oh and one more note, Rodgers also has both his bookend tackles back and the team added another tackle in the first round at this years draft. This protection should keep Rodgers off his back like he was in the second half of last year when his tackles got healthy.
