Fantasy Football Outlook: A poor offensive line, long runs going down at the one or two yard line and a bad concussion put McCoy in the bust category last season. The offensive line is much better, Chip Kelly’s offense should rejuvenate the Eagles ground attack and McCoy can’t have two years in a row where long runs don’t go for touchdowns.
McCoy is not a one year wonder in terms of playing at an elite level and while Bryce Brown will be a part of his offense, I believe their is more than enough to go around for McCoy to still be a top five fantasy back.
The Eagles should have the upper hand as defenses will have to react to what Kelly is doing on offense. They will probably slow this offense down some towards the end of the season, or by the start of next year but that won’t stop McCoy from putting up big numbers.
Yes, it would be a good idea to pickup Brown as a hand cuff option but it’s not a requirement. Take McCoy as one of the top seven backs off the board in any scoring system.

Summer of 2012: Fantasy Projections
LeSean McCoy was one of the top six running backs to select last year, but he took his game to another level and proved why he’s a perfect fit for the Eagles offense. Like a jack rabbit or a chicken you can’t catch, even in close quarters; he seems to find a way out of two or three tacklers.
Don’t worry about Coach Andy Reid’s recent comments about how the team overworked McCoy last year because it’s a bunch of BS. At the end of the day, the Eagles are going to need McCoy on the field, for most of the snaps to be a winning team.
No, the offense doesn’t run through McCoy as they are still as passing team, but McCoy creates problems for a defense and can take over a game at any time.
One of the top three fantasy backs to select this year, I would have no problem if you decided to take McCoy as the first pick in the draft. While running backs overall aren’t what they used to be, some of the elites are still just as good as the old days and McCoy is one of those backs.

Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
The Eagles parted was with veteran Brian Westbrook last off-season and the stage was set for LeSean McCoy to have a breakout season in his second year. McCoy would go on to rush for just over 1,000 yards with seven rushing touchdowns, but it was his 78 receptions for 592 yards and two touchdowns in the passing game that made McCoy a standout option for fantasy leagues.
McCoy reminds me of a Ray Rice type of running back, which checks him in as a clear top ten fantasy back and especially effective in PPR leagues, but he could struggle in his touchdown consistency. In the month of May, McCoy admitted that he was out of shape coming into player workouts as he took the extra time with the lockout going on for granted. Since McCoy has publicly admitted to the problem (only a couple of pounds over) he should be just fine by the time camps begin, getting ready for the regular season.
Coming into the summer McCoy’s ADP value stands in on Mock Draft Central as the 9th best (9.38 average) running back selected in standard leagues and in PPR leagues, he’s going 5th (5.04 average) overall. Those numbers should be about right for your expectations as he’s a fringe first round selection in standard redaft leagues and a clear first rounder in PPR leagues.

2010 Preview
LeSean McCoy is on his own for now after the departure of Westbrook. With the departure of B-West the Eagles moved quickly to get a runner to compliment McCoy in Mike Bell from the Saints. Don’t expect McCoy to be an every week fantasy play to begin the season.
2010 Fantasy Football Outlook
2009 Fantasy Year In Review: Throughout the summer, it looked like LeSean McCoy was primed to split time with Brian Westbrook in what could be the veterans final year in Philadelphia. Instead of sharing time with Westbrook, McCoy shared time with fullback Lenard Weaver as Westbrook had continued concussion problems.
For the year McCoy was a spot play as he had good and bad points in his rookie season. Overall McCoy posted a 4.1 yard per carry average and racked up forty receptions. These are good building blocks as McCoy heads into his second year.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: This offseason the Eagles parted ways with Westbrook and McCoy has been handed the starting job. Early in OTA’s McCoy wowed the coaches as he looked to be in better condition and more explosive.
This is good news for McCoy as he needs to continue his progression as the teams main ball carrier now that they’ve added Mike Bell in the mix.
McCoy has a chance to be an every week No.2 running back for your fantasy squad this season but I would recommend him as an early flex play option on draft day. The Eagles have the hardest schedule to run against, and it’s not like they are heavily committed to the running game to begin with.
My other concern for McCoy is if he can get up to at least eight touchdowns in this second year. If McCoy can’t get the job done then I have would expect Bell to take away valuable touches in the red zone and that would hurt McCoy badly.
