Fantasy Football Outlook: The addition of Wes Welker makes it hard not to view Manning as the top quarterback to land after Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees in redraft leagues.

The Broncos should be one of the top 5 teams in pass attempts when the season ends, even if they decide to nurse leads in the 4th quarter by running the football, like they did last year. Manning made it through a full 16 game schedule in his first game back from multiple neck surgeries.

In recent mock drafts I’ve partaken in Manning is going somewhere around the 4th round of ten team leagues but the one time I took him, I felt like it was better to wait a few rounds later for other options like Matt Ryan, Matthew Stafford, Robert Griffin or Colin Kaepernick to name some.

The quarterback position is deep once again, so it’s probably wise to focus on other positions through five rounds, unless you have your heart set on Manning because you like him or because you like his situation.
