Fantasy Football Outlook: Ballard was receiving some thought as a back that could emerge as a low-end RB2 but the addition of Ahmad Bradshaw squashes that idea. Then again, we know Bradshaw will go down with foot problems at some point and when that happens Ballard should vault into being a worthy starter in fantasy leagues.
Ballard may have a chance to win the starting job in camp, but I’m going to give Bradshaw the nod at this point because when he’s healthy, he’s a better back overall than Ballard. For now, Bradshaw is worth looking at as a top thirty running back, and should have a chance to catch over 30 receptions in the Colts offense.
As for Ballard he should fall back to the late rounds in redraft leagues, but he’s worth holding as Bradshaw could and will likely go down at some point.

Summer of 2012: Fantasy Projection
A straight ahead runner, Vick Ballard won’t bring anything fancy to the table, but if Delone Carter and Donald Brown should struggle, he would see extended playing time.
It will be interesting to see how the Colts will run their offense, as Andrew Luck played in a run heavy system back at Stanford. Ballard is only worth a late round, speculative pick in dynasty leagues.
