Giovani Bernard and Shane Vereen may not start to begin the year but both should be capable options if called upon during the season. In fact, expect both to be the players favored by the coaching staff when the team is in predictable passing situations, as both backs are terrific in that pass catchers and route runners.

Both hold better value in PPR leagues, but they are worth a look somewhere starting around the eighth round of 10-team leagues.

71. James Jones, GB - Don’t look to Jones to have another double-digit touchdown season. If Lacy can stay healthy, the Packers should improve in the red zone running game. In the passing game, Finley should bounce back in his touchdown production.

Both Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb will see more targets than Jones so don’t expect more than 750-yards receiving. I would look to Jones as a better standard league option than PPR option at receiver but I wouldn’t consider him until after the 10th round.

72. Eddie Lacy, GB - Lacy should win the starting job in the Packers backfield but I still like Johnathan Franklin to outplay him in the long run. Lacy should be a factor in the red zone but is likely to come off the field on passing downs.

Don’t expect 250 carries a season and I think he’s going to be a player who will miss time because of injury. Lacy is worth taking a chance on at this point, if he’s running with the first team by the time you draft.

73. Dennis Pitta, BAL – Obviously this pick has changed after recent news as Pitta out for the rest of the season because of a hip injury. Pitta will be missed and with Anquan Boldin gone to the 49ers, this team needs to add a veteran talent like Brandon Lloyd and fast.

74. Giovani Bernard, CIN - Love Bernard and he will work in a RBBC with BenJarvus Green-Ellis right away. The Bengals talented rookie should win the starting job by mid-season, and he won’t look back. A possible flex play starter in PPR leagues (because of his excellent receiving ability) Bernard is nothing more than a bye week fill in option, until he wins the starting job.

75. Matt Ryan, ATL – Can’t believe Ryan is falling this far in mock drafts but here we are. Ryan should be going closer to the 5th round and I would take him over Cam Newton and Tom Brady at this point in time.

76. Robert Griffin, WAS – If Griffin didn’t have the knee troubles, we would be talking about Griffin as one of the top five quarterbacks for fantasy leagues. Expect that to be the case next summer, but for now he’s worth taking a chance on at this point in the draft.

77. Shane Vereen, NE - The Patriots are going to use Vereen in the passing game with regularity, and if Stevan Ridley’s fumbling issues crop up he could see more touches in the running game. What I also like about Vereen is he was more efficient at the goal-line than Ridley down the stretch as well.

A backup in standard leagues, but Vereen is an instant flex-play option in PPR leagues.

78. Tavon Austin, STL – It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Austin is the rookie of the year. The Rams will use him in the passing game, in the running game and on special teams. Not sure whether he will have a long career, but in the early years he’s likely to be a stud.

79. DeSean Jackson, PHI - With Jeremy Maclin out of the picture, Jackson is clearly the top option in the Eagles passing game. I think Coach Chip Kelly will find creative ways to get Jackson the football and I have no problem taking him as a low-end WR3 option.

80. Kyle Rudolph, MIN – Rudolph will make an impact in the red zone but I’m not sure he will catch more than 55 passes this season. A Pro Bowl talent Rudolph is a TE1 option and a better standard league selection because of his average reception total.
