Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 6

Man are we on fire! After an awful week 1 to start the year the haters are nowhere to be found. My featured start of the week for Week 5, Breece Hall, had 22 rushes for 177 yards, a rushing td, and 3 catches for 17 yards on 3 targets. That was good for 28.4 points in ppr and even better than 23.7 that I predicted him for. Hall was simply incredible and gashed the Broncos D as expected highlighted by a 72 yard-TD run reminiscent of the one he had a year prior also in Denver. I hope anyone who read this article did everything in their power to get Breece before this week cuz now the cats out of the bag as predicted. Breece Hal is a locked and loaded RB1 on a now functional Jets offense. Breece owners rejoice.

My sit of the week was just as good if not better than my start of the week. The running back I told you to sit was Patriots Rhamondre Stevenson. I highlighted many reasons; his lack of efficiency, decrease in the pass game, and of course the Patriots horrendous offense as a whole. Stevenson had just 8 rushes for 24 yards and no catches on 2 targets. That is just 2.4 points and even less than the 6.7 I predicted for him. If there is a Stevenson owner that is so disgusted there is a chance you may be able to get him for dirt cheap. If that is the case why not as his schedule does soften up. However, this Patriots offense is dreadful and I would not be so eager to do so unless you’re getting him for pretty much free. Let’s keep up the great momentum going into Week 6!!!

Week 6 Start ’em Logan Thomas – Commanders TE

I figured I’d give the tight ends a little bit of love this week! Many of you may be seeing this and going Logan Thomas? Gross! It does sound gross at face value but what hasn’t been gross this year has been Thomas’ play. In every game that Thomas has started this year he has scored at least 7.3 fantasy points or more (PPR). Now I know that is not some crazy high number or anything but that is a very safe floor at a very weak and volatile position. Last week Thomas came bursting onto the scene with 9 catches for 77 yardsand a touchdown on a team high 11 targets. It is clear that he has found himself as one of Howell’s most reliable and trusted targets.

It’s beyond shocking to me that we’re in a universe where Logan Thomas is outsourcing Jahan Dotson but here we are. To be fair, Logan Thomas has always had talent and in 2020 he was the TE3 in PPR formats, he has just never really been able to stay healthy. The Commanders play the Falcons this week and while I don’t envision a game script like last week- a game that featured 50 + straight passing calls for Washignton. I do think that the matchup is awesome as the Falcons have given up the second most points to opposing tight ends this year. Every year there are always tight ends that somewhat randomly come atop our fantasy radars and finish as top 10 TE’s. It looks to me that Logan Thomas is one of this year’s breakout tight ends. You guys had that on your bing cards right??? Fire up Logan Thomas as a great TE1 option this week.

Miles Sanders - sit em Week 6

Week 6 Sit ’em Miles Sanders – Panthers RB

I cannot say I was terribly high on Sanders this year, but I also did not think this offense would look this dreadful. Bryce Young is going through rookie growing pains, the line is awful, and Adam Theilen is the only player that is getting open for them. The Panthers made it clear they were trying to put Sanders in a 3-down role this year. Sanders has been utilized in the receiving game but has seen his snaps dwindle the last two weeks to 43 and 46 percent respectively. Now he has been dealing with a shoulder injury so this could be some of the reason but it’s also a further reason why I want no business with Sanders anytime soon. Hubbard out produced him last week and it is worth mentioning that Sanders did lose a fumble last week against the Lions.

This week’s matchup against the Dolphins isn’t awful as the Dolphins are in the middle of the pack against RB’s but there is nothing that I’ve seen from Sanders that makes me trust him. The Panthers are double digit underdogs in this game and will likely be playing from behind. As Sanders nurses this shoulder injury I think it’s likely we will continue to see both he and Chuba Hubbard split work. Sanders is known for being a very effective runner with the Eagles but it may have been much to do with their dominant offensive line as he is averaging an anemic 3.11 yards per carry with just 1 touchdown on the season. Not just this week, but going forward I don’t see too many red zone trips for the Panthers offense which makes it even more unlikely that Sanders finds pay dirt. Bench Sanders comfortably this week.

Miles Sanders Week 6 Projection: 9 carries for 26 yards, 3 receptions on 5 targets, 15 receiving yards, 0 touchdowns (7.1 points)
