It Is An Impossible Scenario That Loving A Good Thing Becomes The Root Of All Evil

This was a raw search on finding the word “money” in the bible. Now I am not a Christian but as I had to challenge the quote I needed to use where it came from. I challenge you to prove all these verses had good and not bad things to say about money. You were tricked by that quote about only the “love of” money being bad because it is a half truth. The same source actually proves the opposite as seen below. As per the last verse I would bet you money but just in case the money fails I should probably bet you a cow.

“For the love of money is the root of all evil” – This quote is often used to justify money saying it is not the money that is bad, it is the love of it. Well I am a systems analyst and I am forced to put things into a logical context all the time. That is why I can tell you this is a half truth and spreading like wildfire. The truth is money is never judged here. So that brings us to this.. Is money a good thing or a bad thing. I say this:

It is an impossible scenario that loving something good is the root of all evil. Therefore we can deduct that money is NOT a good thing.

So ask yourself these three questions about the verses below before you read them:

1. Are they describing something incredible like the sea parting. Answer: No
2. Are they describing historical events surrounding money. Answer: Sounds like it
3. Is the general idea that money is a good thing or a bad thing based on their experiences? Answer: Appears to be bad

Timothy 6:10: For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Genesis 31:15 Are we not counted of him strangers? for he hath sold us, and hath quite devoured also our money.

Genesis 42:27 And as one of them opened his sack to give his ass provender in the inn, he espied his money; for, behold, it was in his sack’s mouth. 
(In other words, this “could” mean that money is steering the man’s mind for it is his “sacks mouth” or the money that is talking not him.)

Genesis 42:35 And it came to pass as they emptied their sacks, that, behold, every man’s bundle of money was in his sack: and when both they and their father saw the bundles of money, they were afraid.
(Why be afraid of such a good thing?)

Genesis 43:18 And the men were afraid, because they were brought into Joseph’s house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us for bondmen, and our asses.
(This appears to sound like he is saying because money is given something is expected in return)

Genesis 43:21 And it came to pass, when we came to the inn, that we opened our sacks, and, behold, every man’s money was in the mouth of his sack, our money in full weight: and we have brought it again in our hand.

Genesis 43:22 And other money have we brought down in our hands to buy food: we cannot tell who put our money in our sacks.

Genesis 43:23 And he said, Peace be to you, fear not: your God, and the God of your father, hath given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. And he brought Simeon out unto them.

Genesis 44:1 And he commanded the steward of his house, saying, Fill the men’s sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put every man’s money in his sack’s mouth.

Genesis 44:8 Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks’ mouths, we brought again unto thee out of the land of Canaan: how then should we steal out of thy lord’s house silver or gold?

Genesis 47:14 And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s house.

Genesis 47:15 And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth.

Genesis 47:16 And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail.

Conclusion

Whether you believe the Bible or not (and I have problems with the interpretations we are thrown about much of the text) you have to agree that what is being told below are life experiences. How do I know this is true? Because we are seeing it. Do a search for money on (HTMLBIBLE com) and read the information. It tells you money is not a good thing. I can trace almost any bad national, political, social, or global event down to money. 

MONEY is the root of all evil. It stands for evil. This is a fact. Just look around, and of course read your history books… including the Bible. All information is good information.
