Microchip Launches New Capacitive Touchscreen Line Driver - Analyst Blog
Microchip Technology Inc. (MCHP) recently introduced its latest high-voltage capacitive touchscreen line driver MTCH652 for advanced touch performance. Microchip has started accepting orders for the new product with prices starting from $1.04.
The new MTCH652 driver offers a compact boost convertor with up to 19 level shifters, which provides solution for driving High Voltage (HV) outputs. This helps to increase the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) for advanced projected-capacitive touch performance, making the system more robust in noisy environments and reducing the number of samples and time required by the touch controller to scan large displays. The MTCH652 is supported by Microchip’s new Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) resistance and is a versatile companion chip to advance multi-touch performance.
Microchip’s MTCH652 features high adaptability and can be used in diverse products such as white goods, security panels, automotive, PC Peripherals and industrial controls. It also enables the increase in sensor sizes in touch controllers. The wide range of input and output voltage support combined with MTCH65X devices gives more design flexibility to customers. With such innovative and proprietary products, Microchip continues to capitalize on its business potential.
Microchip develops and manufacturers microcontrollers, memory and analog and interface products for embedded control systems, which are small, low-power computers designed to perform specific tasks.
