Sarepta Therapeutics, Navistar International, Wal-Mart Stores Trivago

US stocks are seen higher on Wednesday as the negative sentiment of  yesterday passes, and drug maker Sarepta Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:SRPT)  is in focus after it saw shares rise over 14% in extended trading.

It comes after it posted positive study results for a new treatment for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a degenerative disorder, which affects boys.

The study is a Phase 1/2 first in-human study on 25 boys with confirmed deletions of the DMD gene amenable to skipping exon 53. Later in the sessioin shares added 13.88% to $46.83.

Elsewhere, Navistar International Corp (NYSE:NAV) , the commercial truck maker, saw shares rise 2.12% after hours as it returned to profitability. In the regular trading session, shares added 2.55%.

The group earned 37 cents per share in its latest quarter, beating estimates by nine cents a share. Revenue also topped forecasts.

Meanwhile, retail giant and UK Asda owner Wal-Mart Stores Inc (NYSE:WMT) saw shares nudge up 0.15% after hours  as it kicked off its holiday layaway ( a way of paying for something later after putting down a deposit) to provide a boost to slowing  toy sales. Later, shares added 0.43% to $80.14 each.

To Trivago  (NASDAQ:TRVG), the trip adviser firm, and its shares tanked 24% in pre-market deals after the hotel search site warned that its results for the third quarter and full year would be below previous expectations. Later shares lost 17.62% to $12.30 each.
