ImmunoPrecise Antibodies names Dr Jennifer Bath as new president and chief executive

ImmunoPrecise Antibodies Ltd (CVE:IPA, OTC PINK:IPATF) named  Dr Jennifer Bath as its new president and chief executive.

Dr James Kuo, chairman, said her appointment added “significant senior leadership” and “scientific depth”.

“Her experience with leading global sales efforts in the rapidly growing therapeutic antibody discovery market, combined with her scientific acumen and client relations focus, will contribute a great deal to IPA’s growth and development,” he said.

Dr Bath has broad experience in vaccine and therapeutic design, development and testing and she has served in many industry leadership roles and advised biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies on strategic and operational business practices.

Most recently, she served in an executive role at Aldevron, LLC, as global director of client relations, where she held both strategic and technical roles.

Last month the antibody focused group agreed to put US$5mln into private California-based Single Cell Technology Inc, leading to a 10% stake.

The latter has pioneered and patented a new approach to antibody discovery.

Its platform is called AbTheneum and integrates multiple disciplines, such as precision mechanical engineering, molecular biology, image processing and bioinformatics.
