A Silicon Valley-based start-up is the latest platform looking to woo institutional investors.

Crypto trading platform Sfox wants to simplify and speed up the process, providing investors with a single point of access to move large sums of money, according to a Forbes report.

The platform is able to scan hundreds of crypto exchanges to lock in the best possible price. It’s able to beat the average market price for a cryptoasset trade by 2.5%, as per the report.

Sfox has raised a total of US$23mln in new investments through venture capital firms Tribe Capital and Social Capital as well as crypto investors Blockchain Capital and Digital Currency Group.

In blockchain news, Global Blockchain Technologies Corp (CSE:BLOC, OTCMKTS:BLKCF) is expanding into the Indian market.

The tech company’s subsidiary based in Dubai has been licensed to develop blockchain technology and other software within the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, a free-trade zone.

“We have made our relationships in this region a priority focus given the company’s view that blockchain solutions are particularly relevant and sought after in this area.  With the granting of this license, our presence in Dubai will expand as we drive solutions toward this new base of customers,” said CFO Theo van der Linde in the company’s press release.

The license will give the subsidiary access to 15,000 corporations in the DMCC zone as well as customers throughout the Middle East.

Edibles company Nutritional High International Inc (CSE:EAT, OTCWB:SPLIF) is expanding its product portfolio.

Its brand FlÏ blends chocolate and cannabis, creating truffles, chocolate bars, lollipops and gummies. Its latest creation is a chocolate edible known as the Chocolate Shot, designed to stay in its liquid form in extreme cold or heat.

Its also introducing the Space Joint, a pre-rolled cannabis product comprised of flower and flavored distillate.

The new products will be made available in Colorado with plans to expand into the California market.

On the East Coast, Ohio growers have planted their first medical marijuana seeds, according to a local report.

Buckeye Relief of Eastlake, one of 13 licensed cultivators in the state, plans to cultivate more than 50 strains of marijuana at its facility near Cleveland.

The plants are expected to between 16 and 22 weeks to reach maturity, as per the report.

Ohio residents can receive a prescription for medical marijuana to treat 21 qualifying conditions, including HIV/AIDS, Alzheimer’s disease, cancer and epilepsy. Medical marijuana is expected to be available to these patients by the end of the year.
