WeedMD Inc.(CVE:WMD) (OTCMKTS:WDDMF) confirmed it has commenced harvesting its inaugural outdoor-cultivated cannabis crop located on 27 acres at its state-of-the-art facility in Strathroy, Ontario. In statement, the firm said that with over 35 varietal strains cultivated outside, the harvesting process will run over a four week period as the plants complete their grow cycles. The company also announced that it will host an open house for representatives of the media, local area dignitaries, business leaders and financial analysts in recognition of the ongoing outdoor harvest on Thursday, October 3 in Strathroy, Ontario.

Weekend Unlimited Inc (CSE:POT) (OTCMKTS:WKULF), the recreational cannabis group, revealed Friday it was accelerating the launch of its branded edibles in the state of Oklahoma due to demand and reassured over the safety of its WKND! branded products amid fears of lung-related illnesses. The firm’s edible line is to include three products containing 2.5mg, 5mg and 25mg of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) – a thin chocolate bar with salt sprinkles, gummies and hard candies, the firm said in a statement.

NexTech AR Solutions (OTCMKTS:NEXCF) (CSE:NTAR) has landed a deal with Sand Separation Solutions (SSS), an industry-leading heavy equipment rental company in the oil and gas industry, primarily operating in the Permian Basin in Midland, Texas. The group noted that SSS has already invested in 3D assets but is looking to improve upon those offerings by leveraging NexTech’s AR university platform and web AR to demonstrate their mobile separator system to potential customers in much higher detail showcasing the quality of the equipment. Metalla Royalty & Streaming Ltd (CVE:MTA) (OTCMKTS:MTAFF) said its fiscal 2019 was a “transformational year” for the precious metals company as it boosted the revenue stream from its royalty portfolio. The Vancouver-based company more than doubled the size of its royalty portfolio to 42 projects, including two mines currently in production. Revenue for the year came in at nearly C$7.9 million, up from C$7.3 million during fiscal 2018.

Tauriga Sciences Inc (OTCQB:TAUG) will present at the upcoming MjMicro Conference in Beverly Hills, Social Life Network Inc (OTCMKTS:WDLF) subsidiary MjLink.com Inc announced Friday. The conference, to be held October 16, brings together cannabis companies and high net-worth investors and financial analysts. Tauriga Sciences CEO Seth Show will host a featured presentation to update investors and analysts. The New York-based company is known for its CBD-infused chewing gum.

Point Loma Resources Ltd (CVE:PLX) announced Friday that it has closed a private-placement offering that raised about C$1.7 million. In a statement, the company said the money will be used for qualified exploration and development expenses and general corporate purposes. It noted that members of the company’s board of directors and management team participated in the offering alongside investors. The group raised C$805,005 at a price of $0.115 per unit, including the full exercise of the over-allotment option; C$757,500.00 in flow-through units at a price of $0.125 per unit; and C$99,999.96 in flow-through units at a price of $0.12 per unit.

Viscount Mining Corp (CVE:VML) (OTCMKTS:VLMGF) said Friday that it received a master’s thesis that analyzed the Cherry Creek mining district in Nevada, where the company’s property is located. The thesis, written by David Freedman at the University of Nevada, Reno, documents abundant hydrothermal mineralization  — metals such as gold or silver carried by hot water and deposited in rocks — and delves into the specific mineral occurrences. Viscount said the thesis will help the company predict where additional deposits might be located.

NetCents Technology Inc (CSE:NC) (OTCMKTS:NTTCF) has expanded the volume of cryptocurrency transactions it can process by forming relationships with additional liquidity sources, the company announced Friday. Essentially, NetCents offers products and services that allow businesses to accept cryptocurrency payments from customers by providing them with instant settlements. The company said it has now reduced the need for large capital floats to fund those settlements and has lowered the risk of working with cryptocurrency exchanges.

NetCents also announced that late Thursday that it had closed a non-brokered private placement worth C$225,000. The cryptocurrency company offered 500,000 units at a price of $0.45 per share, with each unit consisting of one share and one half a share purchase warrant. A whole warrant can be exercised for an additional share at a price of $0.55 over the next five years. The company closed Thursday at $0.50.

Kincora Copper Ltd (CVE:KCC) announced the results of voting at its AGM on September 26 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, in which all matters submitted to shareholders for approval as set out in the notice of meeting and information circular, except the deemed re-pricing of directors’ stock options, were approved by the requisite majority of votes cast with 55.4% of shareholder proxies returned. That included voting in favor of Kincora’s management’s nominees as directors. Namely: Jonathan (Sam) Spring, Ray Nadarajah, John Holliday, Lewis Marks and Cameron McRae, and the re-approval of the 10% rolling stock option plan.

Braingrid Limited (CSE: BGRD), a global provider of cultivation analytics using its affordable, scalable and easy-to-deploy sensor platforms for precision agriculture, announced late Thursday that investor European High Growth Opportunities Securitization Fund, advised by Alpha Blue Ocean Inc., has converted the remaining $110,000 of its principal amount of senior unsecured convertible debentures into 1,375,000 common shares of the company at an effective price of $0.08 per share. Under the agreement between the fund and the company, executed on June 11, 2019, Braingrid has a cumulative make whole obligation to the fund of $771,350, payable either in shares or cash at the company’s discretion, if cash the obligation would be netted against future debenture issuances.
