Gemma Box Launches Ethical Jewelry Collection

The Company launched its first jewelry collection this month, available at www.gemmabox.com

Gemma Box is partnering with talented artisans in Guatemala to create high-quality pieces and help them access global markets, providing opportunities for growth and a better lifestyle. The company has a ‘buy fair-price’ policy, allowing the artisans to earn higher margins than they normally would for their work.  

Their jewelry collection is inspired by the dominant stone in their pieces and by the women they sell to. CEO Gabriel Gomez explains “The Jade stone was a symbol of power and life in the Mayan culture. Our collections aim to celebrate the power and beauty inside every woman by merging these precious stones with delicate designs”. The company designs everyday, versatile jewelry for the woman who values quality and is ethically conscious. 

Gemma Box was founded as a response to the inequality and lack of opportunities in the region. After coming across the high quality work of these artisans and identifying their limited market, Gabriel decided to build a platform where they could reach international customers who appreciate high quality-modern designs with an ethical component. The beauty and richness of the culture and tradition of the region are undeniable and clearly evident in the final product.

Initially the company’s product range includes bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rings made primarily from Silver and Jade. Currently, Gemma Box is working on its next collection to be launched in March 2017.
