Spring Planting

Another $100 for lumber later, we now have 4 more beds. The photo above is of last year’s, which I cleaned up on Saturday and planted with peas, carrots, lettuce, kale, and the Asian stir fry mix. Those little seeds are buggers! Hoping I can thin them out later.

I mentioned to DH how it’s amazing how plants grow out of seeds that are so tiny; he replied that humans come from even tinier seeds. Ha ha.

I’m so thankful for him building the beds. Here are the rest:

Even though it looks like it doesn’t get much sun, it does get quite a bit in the morning and early afternoon. We’ll see how it works! Now we just have to get dirt delivered.

DH’s hops:

These will be full of gorgeous hops next summer.

One tool I found super helpful was the garden planner. It helped me know how many seeds to put in each square.

The seeds were a mix of leftovers from last year and some new from Baker.
