Dunkin Donuts, Free From Gluten, Experts Tested
The company that’s famous because of their less-than-healthy and sugary ingredients has recently started testing on gluten-free products. They have placed these on some of their locations in Southern Florida and the Boston area.
The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness says that these gluten-free products will be wrapped and will be called “dangerously delicious.” The said company’s spokesperson says that “the testing has been well received.” However, the news sources have not been given any word yet if Dunkin will spread the gluten-free products to more stores in the entire country.
This isn’t the only company that’s starting to use gluten-free products in their menus. Some of these giants include Arby’s, Domino’s and Chick-Fil-A. These types of products have steadily been rising in the recent years. On a dollar basis, an 18% increase has been recorded from 2011 to 2012 alone.
“It’s really all about good nutrition, with lots of natural, fresh ingredients, not much meat, and thinking out of the box. That’s literally speaking,” according to Jacqueline Mallorca. She also adds “gluten-free cooking can be so exciting, healthful, and delicious that everyone at the table will be happy, gluten-intolerant or not.”
