Recently, we received a couple of these awesome toys to check out for ourselves. We received a Create A Ring and Create A Superstar from Mattel. 

The character we received was Bray Wyatt. This awesome figure gives kids the power to take one of their favorite WWE® Superstars and mix-and-match body parts and battle gear to create an original, kid-designed Champion. 

I have a confession to make….I have not seen a wrestling match in well over 20 years. The wrestling I remember from my childhood included greats like Hulk Hogan, Rowdy Roddy Piper, and The Ultimate Warrior. Back in those days, it was the WWF. Today, wrestling is just as hot as ever, but these matches are now called WWE matches. I guess times have changed, and the name may have changed slightly, but professional wrestling is bigger and better than ever! 

My kids are definitely interested in WWE Wrestling. This is something they watch with their Daddy while I run off to enjoy a steaming hot bubble bath. They look forward to their WWE Daddy Time, and I enjoy an hour or so of relative peace and quiet. It’s a win-win situation, if you ask me! 

When I learned that the folks at Mattel have an awesome line of WWE toys for little fans to enjoy, I just knew my kids would flip! And I’ll be honest. I’d rather see my kids making their toys wrestle than wrestle each other. Bad things happen during impromptu sparring matches, and it usually ends up with someone in tears. Make believe wrestling with toys? A MUCH safer option, in my opinion.

How cool is that?!

My kids are young, so Daddy helped them build their ring. They helped, of course! Once they had their perfect set up, they had a blast playing with their Bray Wyatt Superstar. We only had one Create A Superstar character, and unfortunately, this meant no authentic WWE action. The kids have been using other toys, like comic book superheroes and princess dolls, to stage their wrestling matches. I think Bray Wyatt has a definite advantage! 

Overall, we are totally loving the great WWE toys from Mattel. My kids can get their wrestling fix in a fun, hands-on way. I love the fact that this ring can be rebuilt into many different configurations, and that the characters are also totally customizable. This allows kids to get creative and use their imaginations while bringing to life their favorite WWE match-ups.
