US Non-Farm Payroll, US Unemployment and Impact on Sterling vs Euro Exchange Rates (Tom Holian)

Sterling Euro exchange rates had a very positive move yesterday following the comments from ECB President Mario Draghi who stated that inflation remains a big risk to the Eurozone.

Today the focus turns to American data released this afternoon in the form of US unemployment and US Non-Farm Payroll data.

As the world’s leading economy any news in the US will often have a big impact on Sterling Euro exchange rates so expect to see volatility later today.

The expectations are for 215,000 new jobs to be created so any increase could see Dollar strength which could lead to Euro weakness creating some good opportunities to buy Euros at the end of the week.

Next week sees the release of Eurozone GDP data on Tuesday which if positive could see the Euro recover any losses from today.
