To Boldly Go Where “Nightmarriage” Has Never Gone Before

Today marks the one-year anniversary of the release of Nightmarriage. (I know. My mind is blown, too!)

To commemorate the occasion, I launched a 40-day fundraiser on Indie-Go-Go today in hopes of raising $1500 for advertising on NoiseTrade.com and Facebook. I intend to give Nightmarriage away in its entirety for free on NoiseTrade for one week, and the advertising money will help me reach people who have never heard of my book.

Lest you think this is monkey business, I made a video to promote this thing, and I am no Scorsese. So I really went out on a limb here, folks. Like a monkey. So maybe this is monkey business after all.

I don’t know about you, but I think Priscilla & Cheyenne‘s song, “One Sting,” really saves the whole video. They have been gracious enough to give digital copies of their album, “bright-colored,” away to donors who contribute $20 or more to my campaign, too. So they may have saved my campaign as well as my amateurish video! Hurrah!!!

There are perks-a-plenty for contributors, so you will not regret helping me out. eLectio Publishing in particular has been especially generous, supplying donors with free e-books depending on how much they give. Donors who give over $100 will be given the keys to the eLectio Publishing kingdom in the form of free downloads of every book in the company catalog! Singer-songwriter Sam Billen has also offered his album, Places, to donors, and Ben Chlapek of Neatly Knotted is offering his Katy Perry covers EP. There are other goodies available, too!

DANNY JOE GIBSON’S CONTRIBUTIONS TO THIS CAMPAIGN

You will note that, for people who donate over $250, Danny Joe Gibson is offering six original works of art (as opposed to prints of original art) in the form of the pieces below. The second work featured below, titled “Sucker No. 1 (Revisited)”—a work of ink on tracing paper—will be given to one donor. We will select this person by drawing names at random from a hat, and regardless of whether the person donated $5 or $500. The rest of the pieces will be chosen by donors on a first-come-first-served basis. If nobody ponies up $250 for the campaign individually, I will find another way to provide these playful perks to my donors.
