Kelly Hyman: A Multi-talented Star

Some people are good at one thing and stick to it their entire life. Others come to realize that they have multiple talents, all of which will allow them to build a career they can be proud of.

And that’s where Kelly Hyman fits in.

Hyman is one of those people who is successful no matter what she does, thanks in large part to her dedication, perseverance, and ability to adapt to any situation that comes her way.

Acting Success

If you know anything about acting, you understand just how difficult it is to “catch a break.” But, for Hyman, this was never a concern. Instead of waiting around and hoping that something good would happen, she took the bull by the horns early in life to ensure that her acting dreams came to fruition.

Her first big acting gig was on the Young and the Restless, where she starred as Loretta. She’s also well known for her time as the daughter of Norman Fell on Gettin’ There. Other accolades as an actress include:

• Performing in a variety of off-Broadway productions in New York City
• Working alongside Adam West (of Batman fame) in the movie Doin’ Time on Planet Earth
• Voice actor, such as in Kit Kat “Give me a break” ad

Life Beyond Acting

There’s no denying the fact that Hyman has enjoyed an acting career that would make most people in the industry jealous. However, there’s more to her than that.

She earned a Bachelors degree in communications from UCLA, which led to her serving as an intern in the Office of Presidential Inquires at The White House.

That resulted in her earning a J.D. with honors from the University of Florida College of Law. With this in hand, she was able to become the President of the Federal Bar, Palm Beach Chapter.

In a recent Forbes article, she was quoted as saying the following when discussing her legal career:

“I am proud of receiving an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. My professional world crosses over between being an attorney, and a television legal analyst, but at the center of both is my need to fight for justice. Thankfully, women in the legal world are getting more leadership roles. The entertainment and legal worlds are both changing quickly in three key areas.”

It’s not easy to transition from a career in acting to the legal field, but it’s something Hyman was able to do through grit and determination.

Instead of being happy with her acting and legal success, Hyman continues to build her brand to this day.

Don’t Forget Her Personal Life

It’s easy to believe that someone who has accomplished so much wouldn’t have much of a personal life or memories to look back on. But that’s not the case with Hyman.

“As a child, when I would get an acting job, my mom and I would go out to dinner alone, to celebrate that I got a job. The dinners were never fancy, but it meant a lot to me to share my successes with the most important person in my life. Every Friday, my husband, Paul G. Hyman, Jr. and I go out alone to dinner for our date night. It is a great way to remind us of how important we are to each other. Also, since my husband and I both enjoy traveling, we have a tradition that we give each other trips as our birthday present.”

There are a lot of people who have done big things, but Kelly Hyman is an inspiration to everyone. She’s a multi-talented star who continues to take the world by storm.
