This portable solar panel array enables you to charge most USB powered devices easily. It’s relatively compact and comes in a nice little storage bag. The panel folds in half when not being used. When it’s time to put it into action, you simply flip the panels open, attach the included bracket that not only keeps the panels open but also allows you to attach a tripod to the solar panel so that you can point it exactly where you need for maximum sun. On the back of the panel is a small plastic box that houses the electronics and USB port. A red LED [Editor's note, it's a greed LED] shines when power is being generated by the solar panels. Just plug the USB cable into the port and to your device and you’re instantly charging your device. You can use your device while it is being charged which is nice.

This will work better with smaller capacity devices like smartphones, MP3 players, some small cameras. You can charge an iPad but it will take a much longer period of time since the battery capacity of an iPad is so much greater than that of a smaller device.

What a great thing to have with you on an extended camping or hiking trip. Rather than having multiple batterypacks to charge your devices when no AC power is available, you can now plug in to this little solar charger. It’s a great solution.
