OFFICIAL: Apple Will Announce New iPhone in September

Apple has just sent out invitations to the press for a September 10th, 2013 event at the company’s Cupertino, California headquarters. According to the invitations, the event will start at 10:00 am PST.

It has been widely speculated that Apple will be announcing something new in September, and the new invitations confirm the rumors. At the event, Apple will announce the new iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S models which have alreadystarted to arrive in the U.S. according to an anonymous source.

The recent graphic from Apple itself is very telling, showing brightly colored polka-dots and the words “this should brighten everyone’s day” tells us that they will indeed reveal the iPhone 5C this month. The shells that were leaked show that the iPhone 5C will come in various bright colors (blue, yellow,green, and pink), the newest leaked images of the iPhone 5C confirm this as well.

The iPhone 5C will not only come in bright colors, but they will also be made of heavy-duty, rugged polycarbonate plastic and will be cheaper than all other iPhone models. Instead of using glass and metal (which are extremely damage-prone) heavy duty plastic will prevent any serious damage and would be reasonably cost effective.

As for the iPhone 5S, features may include a better camera, faster processor and maybe even a fingerprint identifier, color options could include, silver and gold colored plating. Both models will and should have 4 inch screen display.

There’s also iOS 7, Apple’s first major overhaul of its mobile OS, iOS 7 is already in beta but the official iOS 7 will likely launch around the same time as the new iPhones ship. Most likely will happen this month after the big reveal on September 10th. Other highlights for the new iPhone models will include new iTunes Radio, hardware would likely be the main highlight of the new iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S.

The iPhone 5S will obviously be much more expensive premium smartphone, however, Apple is giving people options, with the least costly iPhone 5C most likely marketed towards a younger non-adult audience.
