The Solowheel, or the Airwheel! What the hell is that thing? by Rich crankshaw

Hey! Here is the Solowheel, also known as the Airwheel. Since this thing has been around for a few years now and no one really knows what the hell this thing is, it’s going to be known as: “Hey what the hell was that thing”?

Lets talk about this thing. Where would this product most likely fill the consumers need to balance within an inch of their lives for the glorious opportunity to say at a party, ” Hey, I own a solowheel”!?

This is not exactly something that would provide a practical transportation choice in Rural America, where people either traverse one block on foot to the store, or to borrow the lawn mower from neighbor, or they jump in the car to the strip mall where all the latest trends are displayed, and the solowheel isn’t one of them.

What about the big city? I can only speak for New York City, that’s  where I live. Ideally this product would do great in a city Like New York. So many busy busy New Yorkers going from place to place in a city with over 6 million people. City bike is doing well since it debuted. People love the scooter, and skateboards are everywhere. Ask yourself, why do New Yorkers look so good? Because we walk everywhere, and the above mentioned alternatives to the electric wheel take physical effort to move.

When thinking about the solowheel, I like to reflect back to that, what’s it called? OH YEA! The Segway! The Segway was billed as the next great, “THING” that all people will love. The cops love it, and movies love it, Paul Blart loved it in that really funny movie, “Mall Cop”. Because an over weight guy and an awkwardly balanced two wheel glorified scooter is hilarious, I guess.

And now we have reached the realistic point where this product breaths life. Hahahaha! It’s really really funny. Could you picture Tom Cruise on the solo wheel instead of that deadly exoskeleton thing he dawned in “Edge of Tomorrow”? “HILARIOUS”! Or how about Ben Affleck debuting as “The New Batman” speeding off to fight crime on the solo-Bat-Wheel?

Lets face it, the solowheel, like the Segway, with it’s affluent price tag will go down in history as another one of those, ” What the hell was that thing”? We’ll laugh when we see it as a prop in the movies, or when some old dude dressed like a teenager goes zipping on by and then gets hit by a passing bus. That is what memories are made of. Even though this product may not be a blockbuster for the stock holders, it will bust a gut in the hearts of Americans everywhere.
